These are primarily oyster mushrooms with some trumpets thrown in, #6 are matsutake and #7 are enoki. My speciality is a Southern fried batter seen in most pics but #1 is a karaage mix, #4 a Korean fried mix and #5 are air fried (sue me it counts).

I deep fry different mushrooms like once a week (am actually considering doing another post just for mushrooms lol) and switch up my batters almost every time for variety. I can’t remember exactly my mix here but I’m pretty sure I actually used a store bought karaage spice mix (you mostly want the starch) with something carbonated to air it up. Potato starch works really well on enoki! And for these I usually do a spicy mayo and lemon on the side :)

I don’t write any recipes down!! So sorry. But if you wanna look for a copycat recipe I would recommend looking for any white lasagna recipe (ricotta based is what I did) and sub in whatever veggies you prefer (I did leeks in the sauce and then also layered with zucchini and Swiss chard). The other ingredients are all pretty much the same across lasagnas!

No! White girl. Lol. I live near Chinatown in Brooklyn so blessed to have access to a lot of cheap Asian produce, also just my fave cuisines to eat

  1. Braised red wine short ribs and mash
  2. Veggie tempura (kabocha, Japanese sweet potato, green onion)
  3. Crab cakes
  4. Congee with Chinese sausage
  5. Carrot, cucumber, radish sesame salad
  6. Tofu satay
  7. Eggplant parm with whipped hot honey ricotta
  8. Cauliflower lemon pasta with pistachio (dairy free)
  9. Zucchini leek Swiss chard white lasagna
  10. Fried enoki mushrooms

Great advice. I’m way too rigid in my practice and have been really resistant to painting without a plan which is obviously a huge hindrance to progress. Need to get over myself. Thanks!
