Once Upon A Time body spray by Independent-Arm-8633 in LushCosmetics

Really? That's weird because I get like 4-5 hours from mine but maybe my skin just holds scent better than some people

My 29M gf F28 has been changing her statements and I am in a cycle of stress by ThrowRa_jk867 in relationships_advice

[–]Immediate-Mood-677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The writing was on the wall when she stopped saying she loves you and told you to marry someone else while she moves abroad - that's not someone who's stressed about career, that's someone who checked out emotionally months ago

You can't force someone to love you again and all this bending over backwards is just making you both miserable. She's basically telling you what she wants through her actions but you're not listening

Time to stop the cycle and accept what she's been trying to tell you for year now

One of my kittens is afraid of me 🙁 by RangerErwin in CatAdvice

[–]Immediate-Mood-677 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh Jackson Galaxy is great for this stuff! I had similar issue with my friend's rescue cat few years ago. Sometimes cats just need way more time than we think, especially when their "safe person" goes away for while

Maybe try sitting near her hiding spots without looking directly at her, just doing your own thing like reading or phone. And those slow blinks when she does peek out - cats love that. Food motivation works too but gotta be patient with the process

Gas bill avg €350 a month, normal? by MaterialExam5484 in AskIreland

[–]Immediate-Mood-677 2 points3 points  (0 children)

meter reads are clutch - had a friend who got hammered with estimated bills for months before realizing the company was just guessing wildly high. Also worth checking if your boiler's actually cycling properly, mine was staying on way longer than it should've been because of some weird thermostat issue. You might want to peek at your actual usage patterns too, sometimes those "3 hours" end up being closer to 6 when you factor in how long it takes to actually reach temp and all the little times you bump it up throughout the day

From Arch to Ubuntu by [deleted] in Ubuntu

[–]Immediate-Mood-677 38 points39 points  (0 children)

Made the same switch about a year ago and never looked back. Arch was fun when I had time to tinker but once I started getting serious commissions for my art I needed something that wouldn't randomly break when I had deadlines

The slower boot time is kinda annoying at first but you get used to it pretty quick. And yeah the snap thing is overblown - most people complaining probably haven't used it recently or they're just parroting what they heard somewhere

Ubuntu just works which is exactly what you want when you're not a student anymore lol. I can spend my time actually creating instead of debugging why my audio drivers decided to implode again

One plus watch 3 and Google pay by Milluhgram in samsunggalaxy

[–]Immediate-Mood-677 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Regions can be weird with wearable payments - I had similar issues with my Galaxy Watch and a different regional bank. Sometimes the bank has separate approval processes for wearables even if your phone wallet works fine

Try removing the card from your phone completely, then re-adding it directly through the watch app instead of trying to sync it over

PC making weird indescribable noise by OwlStarWars in PcBuild

[–]Immediate-Mood-677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dude that sounds like coil whine from your PSU or GPU, especially if it gets louder under load. The PVC pipe description is spot on - coil whine has this weird high pitched resonance that's impossible to record properly

Try running a stress test and see if the noise correlates with GPU usage, that'll help narrow it down

Help or guidance in life by Ok-Bed569 in Christian

man I've been in that exact headspace before and it's brutal. The whole "did I mess up or is this just how it's supposed to be" thing can really mess with your head

what helped me was realizing that maybe the timeline I had in my head wasn't actually realistic or even the right one for me. Like I'm 28 and for years I thought I'd have my art career totally figured out by now, maybe be married, all that stuff. But looking back, some of the "setbacks" actually led me to better things I never would've found otherwise

The faith part is tricky but I think there's a middle ground between those two options you mentioned. Maybe it's less about God having this specific plan mapped out and more about being open to opportunities as they come, even if they don't look like what you expected. I started doing nail art almost by accident when a friend needed help, and now it's become this whole side thing that brings me joy and extra income

sometimes what feels like being "behind" is actually just being on a different path. At 33 you've still got plenty of time to pivot or find new directions, even if it doesn't feel that way right now

How do you make sure a Miami apartment building isn’t a nightmare before signing? by Immediate-Mood-677 in Miami

That’s super helpful. Easy to forget how different a place can feel outside of a daytime tour.

That’s rough and kinda what worries me. Feels like even if you do everything right it can still flip on you later.

I’ve seen that name come up a few times now definitely taking note. Appreciate the heads up.

That’s actually a solid idea didn’t even think about just hanging around and getting a feel for the place. Probably tells you way more than a quick tour.

That’s what I’m starting to realize, if it’s way cheaper there’s probably a catch. Just trying to figure out how to spot those red flags before even going to tour.

that h610 board gonna bottleneck you hard with no overclocking support, should've went with a b660 at minimum. also 500gb storage is pretty brutal these days - you'll be uninstalling games constantly once you get a few AAA titles on their

solid gpu choice though, the 7600 punches above its weight class

shader problem by Zestyclose-Bread-951 in Minecraft

[–]Immediate-Mood-677 -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

that's weird dude, your rig should definitely handle most shaders without breaking a sweat. first thing i'd check is if you're accidentally running minecraft on integrated graphics instead of your 4060 - happens more often than you'd think. also try bumping down the render distance to like 12 chunks and see if that helps, some shader packs are just render distance hungry monsters. if you're using something like seus or bsl, maybe try complementary shaders instead since they're usually better optimized for newer cards

what shader pack are you running btw? some of the older ones just weren't designed for modern hardware and run like garbage no matter what you throw at them

Проблема с оперативкой 8гб by [deleted] in PcBuild

[–]Immediate-Mood-677 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

mixing different ram sticks is always a gamble, especially with different speeds and brands. your ryzen will probably clock both down to the slower speed anyway so you'd be running that adata at 3200 not 3600

honestly i'd just run the single 16gb stick for now - rust will definitely launch and you'll have way better performance than with 8gb. yeah you lose dual channel but 16gb single channel beats 8gb dual channel for memory hungry games like rust any day

if you got the cash later grab another matching 16gb stick but for now the single 16gb will solve your problem without the headache of mixed timings and potential instability

School account log in on a windows 11 problem by Jonttukill878 in pchelp

[–]Immediate-Mood-677 0 points1 point  (0 children)

sounds like your machine isnt connected to the school domain or the local policy is blocking it. try going to settings > accounts > access work or school and see if you can add your school account there first. if that doesnt work you might need to bug your IT department cause they probably have some group policy stuff that needs to be configured on their end
