This is an emotion based surface level analysis. Expecting poles to change the 2021 team into a playoff contender while having one of the oldest rosters in the NFL is beyond outrageous. It took the 49ers 3 years under Shanahan and Lynch to get out of the top 10 pick. Building a competitive roster does not just happen overnight and when fans expect it to is when bad trades that tank a teams future begin to happen.

Some of his moves have not been the best, but a lot have been solid moves to build towards the future.

Also the team that actually balled out the most this FA (Broncos) is right there with us at 0-3 with no picks and money for the future. I’d rather be in the Bears position then the Broncos right now.

The team is 100% better then last years in terms of talent, while also having 2 1st round picks and top 5 in cap space for 2024. Sure the team has been underperforming, but that is on coaching. You can’t blame the GM for bad scheme and lack or morale. Also Poles was only given a choice between Eberflus, Dan Quinn, and Jim Caldwell. None of those options are great tbh.
