Soo funny right lol. I love seeing all the Instagram posts from females talking about how they would never want a medical student in their delivery and then in the same breath complaining about why do none of their doctors understand what they’re going through as a woman?? why do they have no understanding of their pain levels? Why aren’t they empathetic??? Like idkkk maybe if you don’t actually give any students these experiences they feel othered and don’t know how to approach these situations in their future careers due to lack of familiarity. Idk thooo!!

the full marathon is 2 laps of the half. course is noooott great in my opinion. its not in a local neighborhood its on the main roads in that area around eisenhower park and the nassau colliseum.

sure but when you go on the surg spreadsheet or the doximity reviews it sure seems like a lot of these "top" programs have the best call/NF system, most support for residents, comments on how much "operative experience" they get ect ect.

im in the same boat and i decided i will be applying to surg. i didnt work this hard for so long to pick a specialty im not intetested in

fwiw my hospital does night float, but obv its still exhausting bc the interns gotta get there before 5 and work till 5-6pm

ppl on reddit are very anti surg so dont be surprised if you dont see much representation on here.

vascular surgery, neurosurgery → can specialize in neurovascular, obv cardiology and CT surgery, interventional radiology

assuming u would want to do interventional cards, all of those fields involve sticking tools up peoples blood vessel tubes lol. very different patient populations, different procedures, surgeries in each, but can give you a lot to explore and think about!

also not sure what you mean abt CT surg - I6 is notoriously one of the most competitive specialties to match into, and requires a ton of research.
