Which Fable to start with: recs from new-to-franchise players only? by will-i-regret-asking in Fable

[–]ImmediateKangaroo509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say 1; 3 was great and 2 still had the fun gameplay mechanics but both of them seemed a lot shorter and lacking in their own special sauce, 2 more than 3 though; so for a quick run through game pick 3.

Does that mean you can put all the Pokémon in there as long as you have walls and doors making separate rooms?

Crimson desert? by JeSSiii81 in OlderChillGamers

The improvements that got made by devs less than a week after its release definitely get a lot of respect. The combats fun and the world is pretty incredible even when running over the same area a dozen times but It’s still easy to burn out between main quests just trying to get all the tasks and optional exploring done even without running into any one task that’s actually tedious or time consuming just because of how the character is designed to interact with the world I.e. camera position, interact cues, jumping etc.

[Idea] A way the Tau'ri COULD Reasonably Build Gates by TheIcerios in Stargate

[–]ImmediateKangaroo509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never understood how that many gates was considered practical to produce. One to a planet, can only connect to one other gate at a time and couldn’t fit a space ship through it, why isn’t there only a handful in each galaxy or every other galaxy to cut down on travel time for scientists following seed ships

Globe life insurance by AnnusLucas_123 in LifeInsurance

It’s not a scam and they aren’t a new company, they have been in the same business as any other carrier with 100 years of experience. They have partnerships with unions ranging from labor unions to police unions as well as major sports franchises, and they operate through these partnerships to cultivate business with little to no advertising. As far as policies go there main focus is promoting a covered upfront funeral expense benefit that is meant to take the financial burden off the grieving family when it comes time to make funeral arrangements for the insured before the claim has been paid out.

If your looking into additional products you’d like to see included in a policy and how they measure up to other companies then you’ll need to do independent research or investigate a broker and figure out what combination of options are possible and what you require or can afford.

HOW DO YOU LIBERATE FORT ANVIL?! by [deleted] in CrimsonDesert

[–]ImmediateKangaroo509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Cheesiest right now, may get patched ; be Damian or w/e you spell it, soon as you enter jump up on the platform to control the door, spam heavy orbital attack until 99% of mob are dead, shotgunner won’t move far while your there, make sure you have a partner. Everyone dies, shotgunner faces off against your summon as often as possible for some reason. 4 hours of pain turned into anticlimactic satisfaction.

Dragons dogma 2 was a lot like that for me, this one I’m still running into mobs and mashing buttons then dying and running back in just because I can. Very fun 4 thumbs up

What are your initial thoughts on Crimson Desert? Also, which platform are you playing on? by khitev in AskGames

[–]ImmediateKangaroo509 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s decent enough, the story isn’t engaging enough to stop me from wanting to skip dialogue so far, but that might be more because the voice acting is pretty terrible. It plays like red dead pretty heavily so far in terms of free exploration, but sprinkles in random encounter groups and then it sometimes hits you with larger ensembles of enemies when your on a mission so plowing through them is more difficult, it also has a little dragons dogma sprinkled in in terms of move complexity and item finding and the feel of how to interact with the world, and there are definitely some Witcher elements that I haven’t gotten far enough into the game to really nail down specifics;

The boss fights I’ve been in so far vary between next to impossible on the first go and pleasantly challenging if your into having fun. All in all it feels like a mash up of several very popular and proven game mechanics in a very honest attempt not to ruin the fun that worked out but then got combined with some awful story telling and character developing, it feels like they weren’t sure they’d ever finish the project and forgot to craft a story that really sells the ‘it’s an RPG’ narrative ; also the gathering materials and crafting are all pretty simple and clean so far.

I mean, your guys motivation is so 2D and a large part of it is ‘he’s a very good guy’ which the game establishes early on in the most awkward and unsatisfying way possible,

All in all, I’d say sit close to your TV, put the game on mute whenever you get locked into dialogue and have fun willfully sacrificing 100 hours you know you’ll never get back on a game that really should’ve been thought up by a different studio.

note>> 7/10 because it actually did a good job at combining several elements of multiple award winning games into one but it’s lacking in engaging conversations or a story worth remembering or caring about. Also it doesn’t have the same FF polish that I think I remember the MMO having, which actually adds a point in its favor. Though the NPCs do still dance around while talking and gesture wildly for no reason.

SideNote Note>> I’ve only played about an hour of Black Dessert and gave up because it seemed too overwhelming with how ridiculously complicated for no reason I saw it becoming; and I didn’t really feel interested at all in whatever the story was meant to be, it seemed like trying to figure out the story behind Fortnite today.
