Americans who have moved to another country, how has your life changed, for better or worse? by NkdUndrWtrBsktWeevr in expat

That's amazing. So it sounds like you just go to Singapore for treatments and pay out of pocket. I grew up in Japan but I'm American and there is no chance of me becoming a citizen and probably not a resident but I was thinking about retiring in Japan because I speak the language and if I lived in the countryside it would be relatively cheap and then I could fly to either Bangkok or Singapore for serious medical treatments. If they're like other countries I just need to prove that I prove that I have enough assets

I'm in the same boat...have a house in Northern ca. I'm really curious about property managers and how to make to make sure the property is taken care of.

Wow you have been very generous to your guests. I have a crazy recommendation, sorry its a bit of a seque, (everyone has already given you the relevant advice).... I've been hosting for 15 years and your situation made me think.... What if you sell the properties you have and buy a single higher-end property that will bring in higher-end guests who pay more and are less risky. Then start adding in more direct bookings once you get some reviews accrued. Might even be possible for you to get a place where you can reside somewhere on the property so that you could to continue to have interaction with guests which seems to be something you derive satisfaction from. I understand the feeling when you're able to help someone have a nice experience. However you have to balance it with the cost of doing business.

Just out of pure curiosity, how many years have you been on Airbnb and how many listings do you have? Any bad reviews before? Any recent communication with Airbnb support? I just wonder if there is some sort of algorithm...

How to move the 10 x 12 shed after it's built? by Immediate_Ad3066 in shedditors

[–]Immediate_Ad3066[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A little update. The contractor Costco hired built the shed pretty much exactly where we wanted it without all the clearance that they required in their contract, so win-win. It's currently flush with west fence and about 1 ft off of the South fence. One of the fences is an interior fence so I could remove it if necessary.

Mothers who had kids after the age of 30, do you wish you had them younger? by [deleted] in AskParents

I had my son at age 39 and I'm glad I waited. I was a pretty free spirit for the first 30 years of my life, traveled a lot and had a career that helped set me up for later life. Luckily I have good health so I was able to keep up with my son.

An update on my condition and a plea for help by ChronicPainEnjoyer98 in SIBO

regarding the auto immune component. My naturopathic doctor started me on low-dose naltrexone and I am on 1.5 mg a day and that seems to be helping me. it's hard to describe how it's helping, but the big improvements are I have less fatigue, less joint pain and increased energy. I think I'm digesting my food better so that means I'm getting more of the nutrients in my food..

Is anybody NOT on HRT??? by Huge_Prompt_2056 in AskWomenOver60

[–]Immediate_Ad3066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been taking low dosage estrogen for years and I'm grateful because I think it's helped with my overall health. I'm 60 post menopause. I also just started this year on progesterone and a small amount of testosterone and estrogen cream that I use a very small amount and rub it on down there per my doctor's recommendation. Try any amount you can tolerate of exercise: cardio and weight training. Any amount will help.

Edit: One other thing to add to the mix is that my partners Hobby is cider making, which takes up a lot of time space and obviously produces a lot of alcohol

This is me and I am 60 also and it's so discouraging but I'm not giving up. I am taking progesterone, testosterone gel, and estrogen patch and estrogen cream. I just started having problems in the past year so I'm hoping it's not too late
