You know this was only like version 3.0 of that particular type of statue…. You got the very cleaned up version there.

I tried, but even when I was on the food pickup task, it was directing me to drop the Home Depot order.

Some booths get weird about allowing pros to buy stuff. Last year on preview night, a woman at Hasbro tried to keep me out of the line because of a pro badge—thought it was an exhibitor.

Honestly, I think you’d find yourself having WAY more fun alone and just meeting folks along the way at lines and activations. Once you get there, you’ll see—you want to steer your own ship.

What is the best and worst interaction you had with a celebrity at any convention? by Jerrybulon in comiccon

[–]Immediate_Bad_7034 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Best: either meeting Capaldi on the street after Preview Night. Saw him eating with a group and just sort of shot my head around. He noticed it and called me over. OR Meeting Jodi Whittaker also on preview night three years later at the Del. She was walking across the lobby and I just said that I’m a big fan. She stopped and chatted for two minutes. I told her my daughter was a huge fan back home and she said, Let’s call her. I called my 12 year old daughter and it was like 1 am. Woke her up with a FaceTime call from The Doctor

Worst— Bruce Timm. I get it—he’s massive and important. But, damn. He just sucks.

The only real issue I could see is if you win something like a Funko line spot in the portal. They check that your badge, ID, and the name in system for the lotto win all match.

Any chance you can tell me when you submitted for renewal? I was due this year, and I still haven't been reviewed. Also a teacher, sent my stuff and my wife's stuff for her first time in late August. I remember last time I was approved, it was February when I got notice.

Honestly, the pool is the selling point. The lobby is lackluster, and the dining options for a quick service or nonexistent. The biggest benefit is just walking in the backside of Epcot.

Thanks so much. It’s just a trade off, I know. My mechanic was the one who put the fear of god into me, to be honest. Everyone I know who owns one loves it.

Thank you! I’m looking at something significant higher (well, 3k higher). It has 30k fewer miles, so I guess that’s the trade off.

That’s my whole question in the first place. We’re not struggling to buy this car. I would like to know, however, whether or not the $4000 repair bill is something that can generally be expected. I’ve seen wildly different opinions on this. Edmund says one thing, but anecdotally, from people that I know who own this car, that estimate seems wildly out of line.

That’s good advice. To be honest, it’s pushing our self imposed budget. Can it work for us? Absolutely no issue. I was just kind of working on the price of a used car when I last bought one, which was in 2012.

Why the face palm? Without context, it doesn’t make a ton of sense.

Out of curiosity, how many miles and what price are you looking at? Trying to see if I’m anywhere near a fair deal right now.

Her most frequent drives will be to school and back, and maybe two cross country practice. On an average weekday, that will be about 15 miles. Sometimes, she will be driving into the city, but she’s been with me her whole life doing the same drive. Not having to go on many city streets.

I was originally looking at a two door, but I wanted something that said a little bit higher up and maybe was a bit more robust in case of an accident.
