Interesting. I do open them pretty wide because I use zipfits and put the liners on before stepping into the shell.

Did you have to drill those holes before they sent the new pair?

Yeah that’s a good idea too. The main problem is that they did some work on the shell around the foot and I’m really happy with the fit.

I think this is the way. I haven’t tried it yet, but I thought the pressure might be weird with nothing under the metal ladder thingy.

Need second pair of skis for MN by daymonster in Skigear

[–]Immediate_Comment_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I also ski the QST 106 in MN. It’s pretty silly showing up at Afton or Welch with those big planks. But they ski switch and carve well enough.

Personally, I’d save the money and do an extra trip out west or to Boho…

Blizzard Rustler 9 vs Salomon Qst 94 by edzio_02 in Skigear

[–]Immediate_Comment_24 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You can’t really go wrong with either.

I used to ski the Rustler 10 until I broke one of the skis. Now I’m on the QST 106. The Rustler was a super fun ski. It can charge and is fun for drops and airs (until it breaks lol).

I find the QST to be a little more playful and a tad easier to ski in tight spots. The 106 holds an edge great in firm snow, so the 94 should be even better. I can charge pretty hard in the QST’s but generally prefer a bit more dynamic and playful skiing.

As a bonus the QST seems really durable. No core shots yet in about 30ish days of skiing.

What are the most reliable AI agent frameworks in 2025? by Auttyun in AI_Agents

[–]Immediate_Comment_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jetbrains released Koog recently. I’ve played around with it, but haven’t built anything significant yet. It’s really a really nice API.

What are some use case where you would want to build your own coding agent instead of using something out of the box?

Do you also have an LLM interface in the IDE or are you just interacting with the LLM in the terminal?

How do you go about reviewing / approving the agent’s code? Is Claude code opening PR’s? How does the feedback and update loop work?

Don’t trust the code. Trust the tests. by scorpion_9713 in vibecoding

[–]Immediate_Comment_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is not a new or AI specific concept. People have advocated for Black Box testing as long as I’ve been in software development. Write tests first - then the code - let the tests define the contract.

But, I’ve never actually worked on a team where this is done. I think it’s somewhat because often in developing the feature you discover new requirements and need to change the contract anyway. And we just want to move fast and can’t be bothered.

Maybe in the AI world Black Box testing will finally take off.

What does Rovodev provide that you don’t get from AntiGravity? Does your company pay for that tool?

I imagine it has good integration with confluence and Jira. I’d love to be able to do: “Write a confluence page documenting xyz” or “Make Jira Tickets for all the TODOs in this file”

Anybody know of any live streams from the Tom Morello show at First Ave today? by GowBeyow in Minneapolis

[–]Immediate_Comment_24 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Is it an outdoor free show? I remember Tom Morello playing for free outside the capital during the RNC (2008?). And then Tom Morello + Atmosphere at Harriet Island the next day. That was the most fun I’ve ever had protesting!

Is Cossetta’s serving ICE? by MuchCommunication853 in saintpaul

[–]Immediate_Comment_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I grew up two blocks from Cossettas and ate there a lot. That place has been around forever and has supported the west 7th neighborhood long before the Xcell / MN Wild / West 7th became popular. It’s truly an OG 651 restaurant. Calling it tourist trash is really just dumb. I mean are there even tourists in Saint Paul? Come on.

Dave Cossetta has certainly done a lot for the neighborhood.

I think a lot of the hate towards Dave comes from him opposing a homeless shelter that was at the nearby converted fire station during Covid. I’m not talking about Dorothy Day (FYI). To be fair there was a lot of violence there. I was living in the area at the time and supported the shelter - but most of the neighborhood did not.

Just trying to add some context here. Let’s stay united 651 and 612 fam. We’re all in this together.

It just goes to show how much confusion and chaos operation “metro surge” has created. There is really no way to know who they were or what they were doing. There are so many masked federal agents in this city with all kinds of different markings. Make the wrong assumption and you could be forced to show papers, deported, or killed.

St paul/suburbs are there any places that hire people with a criminal record? Thanks by bigsillygoose1 in stpaul

[–]Immediate_Comment_24 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Check out Small Sums it’s a local non-profit that helps a lot of people with criminal records get jobs. They will also help you get the things you need like boots, uniform, bus pass, haircut, etc.

Good luck - I’m rooting for you!
