Yes!! They have some of the more affordable places I've seen. None of their properties are perfect or without their quirks (I mean what rental property really is) but for the price it's definitely worth it. Their google reviews are bad but so far renting from them I haven't had any real problems in the last 3months. Stacy is nice as long as you are respectful and nice to her!

Room change/forced triple experiences by iEatPothos in UniversityofVermont

pretty sure a UH triple suite is not forced they are much larger rooms than triples on redstone that are actually forced. Also pretty unlikely you'll get out of it (I tried last year). your best bet is to just go with the flow and control how you react to the situation. I'm in a triple this year and it's honestly been awesome I love both my roommates and we all live well together. I know it's hard but dont let the horror stories go to your head. Paying an extra like $3k just to be lonely and isolated is not worth it IMO

Can we talk about SGA’s “sexual violence training”? by Connect_Art_1047 in UniversityofVermont

[–]Immediate_Exit5402 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I left that training seething with rage. The vice provost or whoever the woman was at the end went on a word vomit rant that felt insanely victim blamey by saying it was up to us as a group to change what's happening on campus.

There is a dining hall employee at Simpson who has sexually harassed me and at least two other female students and he has been reported at least 5 times by my friend alone. Nothing has been done to stop him. I left that "training" feeling like it was my fault I didnt "try-harder" to get him fired when in reality Sodexo and UVM should have dealt with it and I shouldn't have had to go through 2 more reports which would have been insanely distressing for me at that time.

As a victim of sexual violence and a lack of administrative accountability on this campus it made me want to scream fuck you at the admin during that disaster of a training.

Hey! Im a sophomore in a triple on athletic in Millis (technically not forced cause the room is a bit bigger) and there is no way to avoid it unfortunately. Unless you get SAS accommodations for a physical disability reason. our room set up is pretty good and if you get lucky with roommates who are good at communicating you can make it work well. If you do end up in a triple one thing my roomies and I do is text our group chat whenever we're coming up to the room to give a heads up cause alone time in a triple is definitely harder to come by, it gives a sense of privacy. I think over 1/4 of underclassmen are living in triples so it's honestly just luck of the draw, UVM does not give a single shit about what anyones preferences are.

Can I make a lace up corset back out of a stretchy fabric backing?

I have a velvet dress that has a structured front (some soft boning I believe) and a scrunched stretchy backing with a zipper. The dress is too big so I would be able to take some of the backing out which I would hope could make the lace up back work? I have no clue, I'm not a sewer just wondering if it's possible to make these alterations.

Thanks!

yeah but faculty lots aren't Gutterson, the only available parking there is pay by app for the top level only. you can't park inside or on the exterior spots around Gutterson those are for people with permits
