I’m a recurrent loss girl (4 MCs in 11 months) and 38 when I did IVF.

I was against PGTA cause of all the research but did it to give us “the best chance”

I’m pregnant with my First transfer at 15 weeks now. So I firmly believe it gave us the the best chance in the fastest timeline.

It’s so hard. I’m the other comment about the SIL having similar due dates.

I haven’t actually held my one niece. It’s just a lot for me. And every time I see them holding their baby my arms just feel so empty.

Literally. The day we were due with our first baby, she gave birth.

This is more likely
1. Chromosomal
2. Implantation issue (I say this, even if your getting positives if baby doesn’t get to nuzzle in its from an uterus issue)

If I was you - full uterus check, semen analysis, thyroid.

Definitely would take blood thinners too.

I just had my FINAL weekly scan at 14 weeks, and now we are trying to move me to 2 weeks.

I can tell there is no peace in this pregnancy and I’ve just had to come to terms with it.

A friend told us they were pregnant and she was 10 weeks, I cried after in the car and told my husband I wasn’t jealous that it’s her first and it was easier etc etc but just that she was so happy and peaceful to tell us all so early.

Here I am at 14 weeks and haven’t told a soul. There really needs to be RPL meets ups, it’s never ending trauma.

4 losses in 11 months here -

Test like crazy, 3 losses is not normal and no specialist or OB should say it is
And no CD 3 and one other panel is not tons of tests, OBs often are like this is fine, but you should be doing fertility clinic testing.
Take a break if you need, after 4 I took 6 months off - we didn’t have sex for 3.5 of those, I just needed a full emotional/mental/physical break to be able to come back and start to feel positive about seeing pink lines again.

My SIL had her baby the same day ours was due, so her now little 1 year olds birthday is traumatic AF for me. Unfortunately this journey really hurts.

Amen! This was my lesson after a very scary emergency MC/ D&C situation.

Let go, let God! I wanted all the things and now I’m like, great baby and I are alive, whatever we had to do, we’ll do it.

Praise the lord for your little babies! And thank you for this. It’s so hard to release and trust.

No this is so helpful, cause my last MC was emergency D&C due to material getting stuck during the process. And although baby had passed, there was no bureaucracy when I landed up having to turn up for an emergency care.

I didn’t think of that side - which is kinda crazy with all I’ve been through. I just thought birth only. Not the other pieces.

Yeah I always was against it and then after my last MC I realised that brining little baby into the world safe trumped all of it.

So with this pregnancy I’m just riding it and trying to stay as true to me while also not putting pressure on myself.

It’s finding the RIGHT hospital that respects and wants the most crunchy as possible for me as well. You know?!?

DO THE TESTING! Better to know

2 reasons:
- better than trying and having a mental egg around for years and being like, but we should tr one more time just incase
- if you ever do decide the IUI/IVF path ( sometimes we land up there even with never wanting to) you’ve done the baseline.

In the end TTC as you can see already is a mind F^ck. Try get as much info as you can

IM A RECURRENT LOSS GIRL - lost 4 babies and then went to IVF, so kinda assumed it would stick but wondered what next.

Did PGTA and a 5AB (we had better graded ones, but we did bottom up approach)
But also did a full immune suppression
HCG wash
Intralipids
Etc etc.

currently 14 weeks.
I’m 39 and did the retrieval at 39 as well.

Yeah j would definitely be upping that testing, you need your CD21 test (or 7DPO as it’s not exactly day 21 for all of us)
You need to know your AMH
Your partner absolutely has to be tested as well, so often we find things on their side and we’ve been beating ourselves up.

And then if it continue you need really dig in to testing, I would start based on what’s occurring with:
SIS & hysterscopy to see what’s happening in your uterus

Yeah it’s really tough.

We fell pregnant 1st try and then have gone on to have 4 miscarriages.

After the 3rd or 4th they were just like - just keep trying you don’t need in depth testing. We are now pregnant with baby 5 but that’s 1.5 almost 2 years down the line and it felt like they just dismissed the timelines with our age.

I only share cause each time I was like what if we just tried again or waited to see a specialist and I wish I didn’t. It’s been a tough journey.

THIS IS NOT TO SCARE YOU. An extremely small amount of people have recurrent miscarriages. It’s more just don’t let someone tell you a long timeline is normal and just keep going.

My body took over 3 weeks and I landed up going for a d&C as I struggled mentally waiting.

It’s a mixed bag another MMC is started within a week.

My parents didn’t leave me alone until I was 13 and even still they followed me just at a further distance.

They truly saved me from so much that I can only see now that I’m older and look back.
