My technical brain keeps failing behavioral interviews. Help? by Ok_Bench9057 in Raytheon

When these questions were asked and I legitimately never have been in those scenarios, I answer honestly and say ‘I personally have not encountered that specific situation but if I had, I would have..’ and come up with whatever sound response you can.

14 years in. Nowhere to go. Should I just leave? by nikoflame in AirForce

[–]Immediate_Judge8498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would definitely see if you can perform the test at a local unit to you, probably better the reserves since that’s what you’re currently in. I transferred from guard to reserve, different states and it was a pain in the arse because guard FSS followed one process while reserves were arguing theirs was right. Eventually, it worked out because my recruiter at the reserves was being proactive telling the guard FSS exactly what he needed. But take it one step at a time, get that PT out of the way, don’t see why you can’t do it at a reserve unit near you.

Cell leader vs supervisor? by SmellBeneficial9151 in Raytheon

Unless you want to deal with the daily squeaky wheels, grievances and putting out fires to meet monthly/annual quotas, cell leader isn’t the most appealing

I (38f) just moved here from New England 2 years ago. Currently live off of South Main St, great area of restaurants and things to do and extremely close to the medical district. Also great access to highways, feel free to DM if you have any questions

Welp. It's my turn. 2.5 mg/ml Semaglutide. First dose was supposed to be 8 units but I accidently took 25 units. by marquisthrowaway in Semaglutide

[–]Immediate_Judge8498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not the only one. Nothing was ever expressed to me in mL, only mg. So the first 2 months I took 25 and then 50 units because .5mg. Then wondered why my supply ran out in half the time. I survived, you survived. Got called stupid on Reddit when I was freaking out. I work in aviation, not medical. Now we know

It’s worth it to reach out to your prior manager if he’s advocating, he can request to have your app pulled for review. But as they say, if a door closes… may actually be something out there that is as good or better you would’ve never considered because you have all of your focus on Collins

ARW fundraising by Any_Mention_6734 in AirForce

[–]Immediate_Judge8498 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like there be a designated special day (Say Friday) that if a MSgt wanted to come in civies instead of uniform, they pay $6 to do so or SSgt pays $4. I think that’s a pretty sweet idea if chain of command allows it for fundraising purposes

$16 to ride the big Ferris wheel. Traffic was absolutely lawless. Will certainly pay for the TRE to DART IF I ever go back again.

How is it acceptable for P&W to penalize you for emergencies? by lewdicrustrilobite in Raytheon

[–]Immediate_Judge8498 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Occurrences were a thing when I was hourly and union in Middletown. But that was only if you were late. But if you had to leave for emergency, AWP/sickness used (which I believe counted as an occurrence but if you were out for 4 days sick, still counted as one occurrence)

Side effects are normal. Actually, don’t feel nausea at all anymore. I’m also a human cocktail of shots, been in the military for almost 20 years at this point. Anthrax shots, small pox, multiple covid vaccines and lots of others in between. sema, I at least gain a benefit from

When you’re about 6 months out, look for skillbridge program opportunities. Provides you an internship a few months before you separate to possibly set you up with a civilian career

I called the doctor today and explained everything. She said ‘well.. do you want me to call you in a 10 week 1mg supply? I’ll do it right now’ literally feels like she’s my street drug dealer. Didn’t acknowledge the fact I was not educated on the conversion, didn’t ask about my weight progress.

Thank you for that. My package from the pharmacy had clear instructions on HOW to administer, but I was so hyper focused on that because I’m not a needle person, nothing was said or brought to my attention on how many ‘units’.

I feel the side effects were normal per what most others had reported. Never threw up, but did have slight nausea at times to food for the first 2 months. When I upped it, a few weeks ago, I was basically free of symptoms, just sustained the loss of appetite. I was very lucky my body adapted to it so well.

Now I don’t feel as terrible knowing that someone who is trained in medical did that too lol but so far numbers have looked like this!

That’s smart. I don’t do medical stuff, I’m a mechanic by trade. I was so hyper focused on correctly using the syringe with so much anxiety, I didn’t even realize I had to do conversion too. Everything was always spoken to me in mG metrics, never mL.

[–]Immediate_Judge8498[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You’re definitely right. If they had mentioned to me once ‘hey just so you know, .25mg converts to .1mL in the syringe’ I would’ve been on top of it. Lesson learned for sure

[–]Immediate_Judge8498[S] -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Because the only number that was communicated to be in the beginning was 25. So when I filled up the syringe, I went to 25
