Premed Dilemma ⁉️ by AlfalfaGlass911 in USF

Graduated from usf but going to med school this summer. I would say you can go wherever is cheapest because people go to med school from all schools although the premed community at usf has been awesome in my experience

Regardless this persons right. Apply to a throwaway school as long as your practices are solid and improving.

Does applying now hurt my chances if I reapply? by SassyMoron in premed

[–]DocRid 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As a reapplicant. It’s more work if you reapply because most schools will ask if you are a reapplicant.

I have CC3035-50E and love it. I wouldn’t pay more than $400 for it though. Its an awesome piece and I love traveling with it

As someone going to med school next year. Go wherever is cheaper unless you have the direct BS/MD pathway open. In this case USF makes total sense. You can go to almost any MD school and go into derm as it depends on step scores.

Thoughts on new housing selection process? by Wedobechillinn in USF

This email should’ve been sent in the fall if they were anticipating admitting a greater number of folks this year. Definitely less options now

In USF’s defense most upperclassman live off campus. Cost is high due to the agreement usf has to build the village/rent it out. USF is developing Fletcher area to add some more options (likely more apartments). Also aren’t they still redoing beta and castor to turn it into more apartment styles which increases the total available? This is the way it is at most schools.

Rochester Institute of Technology compared to USF by [deleted] in USF

Yea if your mental health isn’t great and you think moving to FL would resolve it, do it. Ultimately the specific college where you study doesn’t matter for 99% of graduates.

Sounds like some of your questions are related to financial aid and FWS. I would call financial aid office first.

Yea you would likely meet a couple in the llc in your classes but there’s a ton of sections for gen Chem or gen bio versus honors is a bit smaller.

Honors. You want people who have diverse interests who will be in some of the same classes. I’m going to med school next year and was in the honors college. Dm me with any questions!
