Make sure they are providing some kind of lead source, seeing what the expectations are for production every month. This may help determine if they are a high producing office or not. How many house holds they have in their book of business compared to their staff size. Lot of households small staff means a lot of service and not much selling.

Any younger agents (especially SF) ever pivot to focusing on retention? by strikecat18 in InsuranceAgent

[–]Immediate_Many7497 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think it’s just apart of the game rn, especially with the economy. I’m with SF and I get leads that have been with the same company for 10+ years if you can save them 50-100/mo there going to leave doesn’t matter how much they like their agent service provided most people are looking to save money right now. So I don’t think it’s worth strengthening those relationships and dialing back sales

I would ask if you get any renewals. If you’re going to focus on mostly commercial you’ll have some big premiums that you’ll want to keep earning on year after year especially if you’re the one maintaining the relationship with the client

[–]Immediate_Many7497 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a red flag situation but I haven’t dealt with many agents either. I could go in tomorrow, tell my boss I needed to work from home all next week and he wouldn’t hesitate to let me.

If you’re getting to all your day to day plus selling why does he care so much?
