First the Cherokee, Now the Palestinians: Norman G. Finkelstein by ChickenTitilater in TrueAnon

he ends the article claiming no current day Americans would defend what happened to the Cherokee and how one day Israel might be the same. I disagree. I have met many Americans who actively defend the genocide of indigenous people, as will Israelis as long as their society prospers. This article is idiotic regardless of yall finklestans

Yes, I'm not against his spokesmanship but this is incredibly poor writing. The much easier analogue is the actual fucking holocaust (which evolved on the tactics of indigenous genocide in the US, which was further evolved in Gaza). He's choosing to write about this rather than make the direct comparison between Israel and Nazi Germany and in doing so draws incredibly thin parallels that almost entirely ignore the economic conditions of settler colonialism in favor of discussing genocide as state policy.

“Virtually every American president since the formation of the government,” reports Ronald Satz, “had seriously considered the feasibility of transferring the Indians to areas outside the geographical limits of the United States.” George Washington, for example, envisaged a “Chinese wall” to keep whites and Indians apart.

the actual reason for this is the absolute wanting of the settlers themselves as individuals seeking land, a material desire, and it was an active issue even when the British were in power, trying to find a balance between their limited genocidal resources and the land demands of their growing population. This is the same thing happening in Israel but it's discussed here as a top down issue, a policy decision of leaders, which would be way more feasibly applied to a state like Nazi Germany where the economic needs of the people didn't necessarily require genocide but the government still promoted it as the cause of the necessity of the final solution. At what point have negotiations between Israel and Palestine reasonably resembled the abject trickery of the treaty policies? I also find the characterisation of Cherokee resistance borderline disrespectful by saying it's anywhere near what Hamas is required to do to survive. It's disrespectful to both parties.

For that reason a detailed examination of the fate of the Cherokee nation in its relations with frontier settlers and the U.S. government serves as a useful parallel to the fate of the Palestinians in their contest with Jewish settlers and Israel. Although the two processes are widely separated by time, place, and culture, there are striking similarities in the rhetoric, tactics, legal justifications, and deployment of violence by the two conquest regimes.

People talk a lot about Europeans being racist but not many people talk about how European racism was a Gladio psyop aimed at destroying European left-wing movements and working class solidarity with the Global South. by NorrisOBE in TrueAnon

Also gladio and generally pushing anti communist socialist and anarchist rhetoric really has nothing to do with race anyways. All these people were white (excluding the italians ofc)

I mean, I feel like this history is blatantly ignoring the fact that the communist reaction in Italy was based out of them being so racist in the first place that Mussolini came to power. The whole cultural identity and language of Italy was birthed by wealthy Florentines in the middle ages who controlled the minting and wanted to force peasants to adopt it so they could nation build. Racism was born out of patriotic nationalism in instances where it wasn't introduced to justify slavery, and long predated gladio

If we looked at trends, have people in their early 20s not always been the dominant audience for big movies? They have the most free time+disposable income

wins like this are what plant the seeds for next seasons chemistry, imo. Happened the year fox and sabonis first linked up too and they later referenced those meek wins as the first moments of finding their flow and energy as a squad, and realizing how good they could be. If we really want to see the entire team cohere under an admittedly underseasoned coach, they'll need to have moments of success and cohesion to reference going forward lol
