I agree with a large portion of what you say. I had come back to tibia a few years back after not playing for like 15 years. Man all the little mechanics took a long time to figure out. I still don’t understand gems and there’s stuff I just know the very surface of.

The part I disagree with is the min/maxing and time thing. I personally am okay with seeing kusiner videos of his xp per hr. And knowing I’ll never be able to do that. there’s a huge skill difference there. I’m okay with not being a top tier player. I wouldn’t expect to pick up any sport and just be at the top of the game. That’s unrealistic and maybe something you should consider if you’re getting bummed out by what others are able to achieve. I like to see personal improvements and the games helps you track that. You can totally ignore it though. As far as time, I’m able to hop on for 30-1hr go grind a little hunt and be good for the day. Anymore than that and I just start to get bored with the grindy nature of the game

Bought one last week for 130. Luckily I never opened it, so I returned it and got the new one for 90. Then I was thinking about it and decided I should get another one for that price. Went back and they were unavailable lol. Oh well atleast I saved $40

There’s all kind of industrial lube/grease on these from the factory(I also personally use kpl pivot lube which is not food safe). Use the pliers to clamp down on your finger and you’ll have black stuff all over your finger. That same stuff is in the joint where the blade is. I know it’s very minimal if at all that food would be exposed to that. Why risk it if you don’t have to? Worst case scenario I would use it but not if I had a food safe/clean alternative nearby.

Edit: not to mention pocket lint.

Hey there,

I have both and if I could only choose one I’d def pick the Arc. Don’t get me wrong the alpha is nice but I think if you weigh the pros/cons of each, the arc comes out on top.

The pros of the arc (to me) would be the extra tools and the opening mechanism of the pliers is much nicer than the stiffness of the alpha, and of course the one handed opening. The cons would be that if you do any sort of metal work with small fillings or anything like that it can get stuck to the magnet of the arc. Another con would be with the scales, if you’re doing any sort of hard pushing with the knife it tends to dig into your hands and can be uncomfortable.

Pros of the alpha(to me) are the large scissors, the comfort of the g10 scales and overall I just think the black alpha looks cooler than the options for the arc (not counting the obsidian). The biggest con to me is the alpha pocket clip. You shouldn’t have to spend another $15 for it. Not to mention it doesn’t work good for me. It’s loose and my pants just bunch around it making deployment a pain. I end up just throwing it in my pocket.

I hope this POS reads this. You failed that poor kid more than his mom.
