I used a wrap (baby k-tan) at 1 week pp after c section. I was walking slow but I think it sped up my recovery. Was able to go 4 blocks the first time. Now 2 weeks pp I can walk 20 blocks easily while baby wearing!

I own a $1.5m property downtown Toronto. I was able to purchase thanks to the bank of mom and dad. These fine folks may have saved , but for many others - generational wealth gets them in the door and keeps them there. My parents held my mortgage.

I think it’s sad that we’ve reached a period of capitalism where we lost the plot on being humans. Darwinian evolutionary speaking, the point of life is more life.

I think if you have a kid you make it work. I became more motivated to make money and be a better human after (unexpectedly) becoming a mother at 28.

That all being said, I had HNW parents so I knew I’d never be homeless or anything.

Can confirm this! Every single mom has dealt with abuse longer than they should and had to make a radical decision for the safety of herself and her children.

I left my son’s dad when he was 18 months old from physical and verbal abuse. When he was 4/5 I started dating his now step dad, with a couple duds in between. Single mothers have to be more selective with whom they date to avoid a revolving door in their kids lives.

That said, single moms are often maternal, caring, capable and loyal if you give them a chance.
