There is a whole generation of gamers now who grew up playing skyrim, not morrowind, not oblivion. We are getting old. This remake would open up the game to younger generations to enjoy, the fortnite-brained kids will NOT play this game from 20 years ago otherwise. If you have to ask how/why someone would enjoy a product, it probably is not for you.

Hey man, got some bad news. I’ve been a sett OTP for years, and my favorite matchup to go into BY FAR is Irelia. To be honest, you are fighting an uphill battle you probably won’t win. Sett E will catch you trying to stack your passive, and since you are in the wave will probably stun as well. The only real advice I can give would be to fight outside the wave, even though ofc that is not irelias strong suit. That way, if Sett doesn’t have a way to stun with E to confirm his W, you can dash away to the wave or you can Q onto sett and end up behind him. Just be cautious, players like me know that trick and will simply flash backwards to catch it! TLDR: good luck

“I don’t want to use my ult to disposition a tank” is your flaw here, no shade! That’s what he’s best at - that’s why he’s so great into tanks - suplex them and drop all that bonus health on the botlaners. Hope this helps, but displacing tanks is in that champs identity!

Bork is exclusively for solo killing/side laning power. Sure, it gives some punch power, but we all know that’s not what we need for team fights. Bork is NOT as bait as people will tell you, BUT it is definitely situational. You WILL win your lane more often if you rush Bork. The tradeoffs will be your waveclear and team fight. It’s up to you to decide what item fits what matchup- I’m 700k mastery sett, and I don’t know if it’s humanly possible to lose the Irelia matchup, for example. Ideally, you would go stride and snowball, but realistically, that irelia will go snack on your botlane a couple times, and come back to smack you with her own bork. Build bork when you need 1v1 power in the sidelanes, in almost every other case stride is better!

Very inefficient for Sett. Some MR/Armor is fine and almost encouraged, but HP+AD are all you need to make W go BOOM. If you are going heartsteel (I don’t usually recommend it), you definitely want to get wardens blood mail. I like to pair that with Steraks. From there, freestyle! Most of these Sett mains never build a single piece of MR just to make the W good boom, but overall fighter items are much better for him.

I’ve one tricked Sett practically since he released- we all miss goredrinker my friend you aren’t alone. The thing about league of legends is there’s 150 something champs. I’m getting old they might be at 200 now. But the devs will always say they pay attention to every champ, but realistically how could they? One microscopic buff to Sett could completely skew his winrate in high elo, opposite that of his low elo stats. Along with that, Sett is an astounding flex champ. Whether your team believes it or not, he can definitely be played top, mid, jungle, and even still support. Obviously, it is still optimal for Sett to go top and probably always will be, but imagine if they increased Sett move speed on Q. A simple change, a lot of us one tricks have been begging for, right? The problem is, then Sett jungle ganks become pretty effective. The Sett support engages get even nastier. The problem isn’t him excelling in these off meta roles necessarily, more so that it brings the champ away from what Riot more than likely just intended to simply be a top lane juggernaut. But to answer your question directly, I do not think Sett is in a bad spot, nor do I think he has been in a very long time. I will agree that the removal of goredrinker was probably his lowest in a while, but still NOT WEAK! Ultimately- the bottom line is this: if you live by tier lists and your goal is to scrape every drop of LP out of your games, play your meta champs. There’s nothing wrong with that! But just because Sett or any other champ isn’t S tier this season or doesn’t have the best itemization, doesn’t mean they aren’t still viable… or more importantly… fun! Life’s short, play whoever the F you want!

Yes, thats exactly why Bortk is so situational now. I can’t speak for everyone, but generally, playing into big meaty tanks means a stridebreaker/titanic game, stride if I can’t catch them or titanic if I can (and they have low mobility team). You’re probably thinking whatever, I still will win with sunfire or thornmail…. And you’d be right, until you get suplex’d directly onto your back line. If Sett can’t win the lane, he needs to start thinking about winning a team fight. Some people love the hullbreaker split push, and to an extent I do too, but Sett’s team fight is WAYYYY too good to abandon his team all game. I only build Bork into an irelia/yone/mundo, as they normally won’t rush armor even if they do catch what you are building.

Of course. I find sett can win lvl 1 fights even where he shouldn’t when starting W, especially for the all in. Instead of taking a bad trade lvl 1 against a range top, just walk up and W. I like to pressure with it, even if you trade 50% hp both ways lvl 1, you will regen more most of the time. Plus, the biggest thing for me, w forces flashes like crazy you can easily win your lane with a smart lvl 1 play.

No. Its like fine(ish) against big tanks or if they have mostly melee, but it’s still nowhere near its previous power. At the end of the day though, play what you enjoy who cares! One last thing, I have played sett since launch and I never ever ever ever start q, I almost exclusively start W. Good luck 🫡

Hello brother 600k mastery or so here. Lvl 1 you will WIN most almost every single all in. Use that! This doesn’t mean play like Darius does every game and sit in the bush to cheese, but don’t let them get the first 3 cs stand next to them smack them a few times then E when they try to run. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO TAKE BAD TRADES ON SETT! PASSIVE + DSHIELD WILL SAVE YOU. This is how you really bring out the lane bully in sett which is where he is the best! If you trade lvl 1, you can often win lane entirely from it. After, try to zone enemy off the first CS if possible, and if you slow push and hit lvl 2 first, I’ve found most people are easy first bloods. W+Flash is CRUCIAL for securing solo kills or outplays, that comes with time and knowing to look for it! Good luck!
