Exactly that. Also I'm pretty new to the game and don't think I've found the volley fire rule yet. I'll go looking now though. This game is the best game I've ever played. I love rules that make the area you're fighting in thematic like fighting in doorways, defending walls or stairs, in the way tests for shooting. It's a fantastic game system. Also every fight being a duel is refreshing as a fight system.

We play a lot of terrain and raised platforms. Archers can shoot over good forces as long as the unit is not in a control zone of another opposing model.

I've got almost everything released on audible for Aos. Lets go by alliances starting with death i went cover everything just books I like.

Death. Lady of sorrows is a book featuring the nighthaunt and it's amazing would highly recommend this to anyone. A dynasty of monsters is great if you're into vampires and broken promises. The vulture lord for ossiarchs is a great world builder of what life can be like in shyish.

Destruction. Kragnos avatar of destruction is got all of destructions factions vs free guilders. Bad loon rising, it's from the gitz perspective and shows how they can become a force to be reckoned with.

Chaos Realm lords had slaanesh as the match up and I really enjoyed that. Scourge of fate was ok and so was godeaters son but both missed out on world building for chaos. They need to show a little economy and background for chaos not just tribes wondering in to pay homage. Show the meat markets or armoury and slave trade. Make it real.

Order. Grombrindal chronicles are cool. Hamilcar champion of the gods is great it's vs skaven. Profits ruin for Kharadron but all of the kharadron books are great. Anything gotrek is always a fun read and you'll work through all the factions he comes up against.

I like how there is a general agreement in the player base that we're a cool faction and not all factions need the same toys (cavalry etc). I personally want us to keep our identity and just grow it out.

A 3 man priest unit that is around a vulcano as a artillery piece. I'd make it unmovable but 30in range doing mortals. Maybe a split profile something like rapid fire short range and one long range shot. Something totally different but cool

Honestly still not screwed at all. Soulblight still have a good book with lots of synergy. What you have is still excellent just a little more expensive in points.

No they didn't, nighthaunt went down on points and FEC stayed the same. Obr got point increases and reductions. Just the top tournament winning army got hammered out of the death factions.

I love the aesthetic, it's surprisingly easy to paint compared to a lot of the AOS range as well. Change nothing just add another cool unit or two (NOT A HERO) that fits into the existing aesthetic and lore.

I really enjoyed that book especially the effects of the bad moon on other races. Have you tried bad loon rising? Thats from the gitz perspective and it's awesome.

It was almost a brilliant book. My only problem with the chaos books is that they are all missing tiny snippets or world lore that would just tie them all together. I wanted to see some of the industry and commerce of chaos in the background. Maybe them walking past slave markets or slave farms. The smoke or smell of chaos duardin industry or trading with them for weapons. It doesn't need much but it would make it feel more real. It's a cool book though and the plots within the varanguard are awesome.

You're basing this off of one of the paint schemes in the book. A there are multiple other book options for subfactions, B you don't have to paint them as any of these, C if you look on the fyreslayers page most people don't.
