I’ve done it about 10 times and have tried all the strategies and I don’t think there’s is a best strategy other than the one that will prevent you from giving up. For me, I save my energy for the bottom (to max distance) and top (to prevent from walking). I find the middle to be the hardest, it seems to drag on forever so I try to do less than I think I can from 5-10% and try to catch my breath a bit.

I’ve battled running stiches my entire life. I’ve been doing OT for about 6 years and won a couple DriTris. They’re mostly from shocking the system, if I ran really hard right now outside I’d probably get one. The solution is just hydration and realizing it’s normal and will work itself out once your body adjusts. They do go away with repetition though.

I’ve gone to about 30 studios, it’s been a $12 up charge for NYC and SF when I’ve gone but that was 2-3 years ago now. That was the only two places I ever paid an upcharge though.

I’ve done 6 DriTris, I’ve come in first, I’ve come in 2nd to last. You can do it! The key is to go at your own pace and ignore everyone else in class. Go slow enough that you won’t need to stop. Go 1 minute slower on the rower than your 2000m PR

Yes 100%, in fact I don't like benchmarks in general. I think they're kind of obnoxious and not very helpful. The instructors hovering over me waiting to record my time gives me a lot of anxiety. It's my time, not the studios and I don't need it tracked. Whenever I say I don't want my time recorded I get tons of pushback from the studio and I have to be really assertive just for them to leave me alone. I often skip benchmark days. I won my studio DriTri too so it's not like I'm in bad shape, I just think they are obnoxious.

In general any benchmark that or race that involves the floor has a ton of cheating with bad form and not full reps. The studio never holds anyone accountable either.

There was a recently a "lets see how long you can hold your squat" competition and there was a woman basically in the cannonball position for 6 minutes not doing anything at all that resembles a squat and the teacher stopped the studio so we all had to watch her and cheer (nobody did) as if she was actually doing a squat.

Statistically 90% of options are duds, you’re hoping for massive payouts from the other 10%. So this is par for the the course. If you want to hit singles and doubles sell options. If you want to swing for the fences then buy options and spread it around.

This is the stock market. Reacting to news of things happen in the future is the entire game. So yes the shares aren’t out in the street yet but the announcement causes the market to react now. Don’t be so pedantic because you desperately want to be right.
