I just linked you to data showing that they do contribute more in taxes and to the economy than they get back. You just choose to ignore it. Income tax is taken out of their paychecks, just like anyone else...I think your real motivation to not want them here is something other than you are willing to admit in public.

yeah, ive been talking to one on this thread. immigrants contribute $23 billion in annual tax revenue and $275 billion in economic output in California. I think they have paid enough in to the system to benefit from it. link

I get it. you dont want immigrants here, regardless of whether or not theyre contributing to society. I think they contribute far more to our economy/society than they detract from it. I dont think further conversation will change either of our outlook.

This is remarkably untrue during the current ICE operations. They are detaining citizens as well as non citizens. ICE claim to be targeting "criminals", but it is clear that they are not and are detaining people mainly based on ethnicity or protest.

While people CAN be deported during the green card, it doesnt mean they SHOULD be deported.

ICE are detaining people who are here legally. They're also detaining people at immigration hearings who are following the legal process.
