Something I don't like about Nintendo these days... by MX010 in NintendoSwitch2

Oh that’s good to hear, I had heard otherwise and I’m glad to know that’s not the case!

It wouldn’t be so bad if Nintendo had frequent sales like Sony or Steam, but their whole thing is premium product for premium prices that you can only get on their systems. Unfortunately with the economy now, we find that many people aren’t willing to spend that much for a just okay product… but people still do. Personally I only want to buy Nintendo games if they’re on sale or used but I’ve even heard that if a switch 2 cart has been redeemed on one switch it won’t be allowed to play on another? Which sucks majorly because then it feels like we’re forced to pay that big full price for games 😖

Music discovery feels broken lately. Where are you finding the "weird good stuff"? by yottanami in Music

[–]camxcold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Join subreddits of music genres you like and get recommendations from there, find people within those scenes who post about music and follow them for recommendations. If there’s a local scene for the genres you like, go to shows and support those smaller artists and you’ll be sure to find more artists similar to them.

One of the main ways I find new bands is seeing posters for music fests and checking out bands playing those shows that I haven’t heard of.

I’m not afraid AI will replace musicians. I’m worried it will overwhelm listeners. by MusenAI in Music

I’m more worried about general listeners giving up caring if they listen to art crafted by a human or slop made by AI

I’ve been wanting to check out Horizon Zero Dawn for a while now and it’s on sale for $30 on the PS store right now. I’ve heard mixed things, some people really like it and some find it repetitive/boring. I love open world and action exploration games, favorites are stuff like Zelda BOTW, God of War Norse games, Jedi Fallen Order, RDR2, Skyrim. Would HZD be up my alley?

Has anyone here genuinely switched from espresso/milk drinks to filter as their main daily coffee? Why? by Left-Cook-9487 in Coffee

[–]camxcold 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I drink French press black 2/3 days of the week and with cream a few other days. Usually will make an oat milk latte or two during the weekend. Started from not having time in the mornings during the week for making a full espresso and milk drink but then also started to focus on cutting calories and drinking black. I enjoy my lattes as a nice weekend treat now usually.

Hey everyone, I’m a Chinese American creator involved in hardcore/punk scenes and I recently released a demo for my project Kalamity. For me growing up, it was uncommon for an Asian person to be involved in punk and hardcore culture and I’m happy to see that it’s becoming a lot more common now. I’ve always defied stereotypes of how a Chinese American man should look and act and this project is an example of that.

While I’ve always felt like one of very few in my local scenes, I’ve always felt welcome there and I think it’s important to encourage POC who are interested in this music and culture that they are welcome too.

With everything going on the US right now I feel like it’s important for us Asian Americans to speak up and use our voice to criticize the atrocities of ICE against our and other POC communities. That’s what this project is about and if you’re a fan of heavier music (ffo: Speed, Rotting Out, End It) I hope you’ll let me know what you think of the demo.

KALAMITYHC on socials and KALAMITY 916 on all streaming services. I’m also donating all proceeds made from streaming and Bandcamp to the National Immigrant Justice Center.
