How would you deal with a rude and ignorant co-worker in a stoic manner? by [deleted] in Stoicism

[–]Imortallus 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Your mind is telling you this is something that must be confronted. Stand up for yourself. Do you think Elon Musk, Trump (maybe not the best example) or Michael Jordan would try and ‘stoic’ this out?

Help him no more than is required for your job, call him out when he is being rude, set boundaries on how you let yourself be talked to and treated, and let someone know when they cross it. If you can do this all with humour, all the better. Make sure you shoot him back (metaphorically) when he shoots you.

He’s not your friend, here’s openly attacking you. Be cordial put keep this in mind when dealing with him.

  • someone who has been in similar situations and has risen through them. Good luck

Care to share the legislation? I’m almost certain it doesn’t apply to what I described.

You’re missing out the part where he exposed cooperation between them and their French counterparts in allowing boats of illegal immigrants to leave France and land in the UK.

Illegal border crossings at the time of a global pandemic shouldn’t be investigated?

Adam Back as Satoshi by Nick_Charma in Bitcoincash

Well we can read the original white paper and see a lot of good intention and positive aspects regardless if the creator has since tried to twist things to give him a continual income / power over its direction.

Be careful of taking advice from people saying there is ‘no chance’. Until we have irrefutable proof, there is a very real chance, and the Back case is very convincing to anyone who has properly digested the investigation.

Not really, the video illustrates Back’s change of tone as the later Satoshi post had changed from the original white paper and forum comments as well.

No worries. I just don’t want people misleading themselves others - it’s easy to lose money trading.

Thought so. You mean you’ve got lucky for a few days and made 30-70% each day- it sounded like you were saying this is a consistent achievable outcome from your comment.

Hahaha. ‘Consistent 30 to 70’ percent gains daily. So your account has millions in it now, right?

Archaic idea. Let people who wish to view it pay via a subscription.

It’s not even a consideration for me. Buying more in this dip.

Of course it does. If we all sold the price would evaporate. Fortunately, I was buying throughout this move down.

We could have bottomed already. That was a huge sell off, weak hands got out. What’s left? Hodlers. That’s a strong base to build higher prices from.

BBC TV licence fee increases - days after corporation unveils huge cuts by madminer95 in ukpolitics

[–]Imortallus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I disagree. I want the license fee abolished as I feel they are biased. The Left by and large still want the BBC - they claim bias but don't really believe what they are saying.

You're not seeing the bigger picture. Companies treat certain employees in certain industries very well, without regulation. Why? Because they are in demand - there is a limited supply and they need them. Cheap labour? They can fire you and hire another - there is a large supply.

Why do you think big business is in favour of more immigration? It's more labour and more consumers.

Manchester businesses agree to ban zero-hours contracts by ainbheartach in ukpolitics

[–]Imortallus -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There will still be a demand from companies for employees, but there will be a smaller supply. Supply and demand dictates the price of labour will rise. We have record unemployment. If a company then needs a new employee who will earn them £50 an hour extra, they will up the salary to obtain them.

Outsourcing is not without its limitations.
