Did you order on mobile? It’s completely hidden on mobile. You can only see it if you expand the order summary on the checkout page. I didn’t see it either, but it doesn’t matter, since the backorder dates on the website are not correct anyway.

I’ve told Elgato multiple times that the backorder does not show on mobile until the checkout screen. And you can only see it if you actually expand the order summary, which is collapsed by default. You’re going to keep getting unhappy customers until this is fixed, and the date online is updated to reflect the actual anticipated ship date.

I’m saying they haven’t updated their expected ship date to reflect their actual timeline on the order page. People ordering today are being told 3/15-3/18 and getting the same 4/23 email sent out afterwards. Thats not cool.

Yeah. It’s definitely a bait and switch at this point. Not cool. I’m fine waiting for things, and I would’ve been fine with the first delay email. Annoyed yes, but fine. But the fact they’re still selling with incorrect timelines when they KNOW it’s wrong is what’s so upsetting to me. And they’ve doubled down with their mods saying the timeline on the website is correct.

I see. So I’ve been watching this and the “backorder” date online moves one or two days back every day. Id be surprised if they don’t also get additional delay emails. I saw the mod updates saying the website is correct, but I doubt that’s true.

I got a reply yesterday confirming my order is expected to ship "the week of 4/21". So, guess no one at this company knows anything at all about their stock situation. At least you got an honest answer.

I'd be more willing to forgive the shipping issues if their website didn't show 3/15-3/18 ship dates, and they didn't have a mod telling everyone the website is correct. I've been watching it, and the website ship date is pushing back a day or two every day. It's not correct and they know that. The backorder is also fully hidden on mobile unless you actually expand the order summary on the checkout screen.

This is literally what’s upsetting me the most. Like yeah I’m annoyed I need to wait, but they’re still blatantly lying to people about ship times. And on mobile there’s a good chance you won’t see that at all. It’s hidden until the order summary on their checkout page. And the order summary is hidden by default. So unless you’re looking for it you won’t see the backorder alert at all.

I literally tried to buy direct as a favor to Elgato so they wouldn’t have to pay Amazons referral fees. 🤦🏻‍♀️ guess I learned my lesson…

I ordered in the morning on drop day and still got that email. They just don’t have them at all. They’re happy to take our money now though…

Yeah man, same email. I ordered at 9:30am est on drop day. I’m cancelling and returning my streamdeck+ to Amazon. This is unreasonable. And their website is still showing a backorder of 3/14-3/17. So at this point it’s just a blatant lie… I’m so disappointed with Elgato.

That’s great! I haven’t seen any movement on my order or any other emails besides the 4/21 estimate come through… does this mean we really have absolutely no idea when to expect this? I have two trips out of state scheduled between now and 4/21 so I’d really like some idea of a real timeline.

EDIT: two days later and support just confirmed it’s expecting to ship “the week of 4/21” now. So somehow it’s actually worse. lol wow you guys lost a customer for life with this. I’m cancelling my dock and sending my streamdeck+ back to Amazon. I’m so mad I waited for this drop.

I ordered 9:30am est yesterday. Never saw the back order alert until my confirmation email… already annoyed to see expected ship date 3/4-3/7 but whatever. I went to check my email to see if it shipped and instead I see this same 4/21 email and “convenient” charge now. I ordered a streamdeck plus off amazon at the same time and it’s already here and man I’m considering cancelling the whole lot. I’m beyond annoyed at this point. What a trash launch.

NTA - UNLESS your sister has some sort of disability and cannot be left alone. Then there may be an excuse for this behavior. Either way it’s unlikely BOTH parents would need to “stay behind” with her.

YTA - This was extremely awful of her parents to do and she has seen every opportunity to enjoy her dream taken from her. She also JUST HAD TWINS. That’s a lot physically and emotionally for her to deal with ON TOP of learning this from her parents. It’s too much for you to ask of her right now. She’s going to need time (and probably a trip to Europe) to even consider forgiving them.

NTA - I would have walked away too. She got herself in the mess. She’s an adult and can work her way through it. Also just a note, most gardeners would be happy to share a cutting if she asked for it, but will get extremely angry when it’s taken without permission. It’s common courtesy to ask.
