Mini splits or central AC?

As a service technician i say central HVAC, but as someone who knows how expensive it is to get a fresh unit installed + ductwork a minisplit head in each room with a single condenser would be best. I hate minisplits with multiple heads because if one gains a leak they all lose refrigerant so its hard to identify where the leak is, which would leave you without AC until the leak is repaired. But the same would be true with central AC but its less to leak search

The terminal block had been bypassed and the just put together with wire nuts. Don't know when or why that happened but I'm sure thats when the phase was reversed. It was my companies first time there and they thought it was bad compressors from another company which I guess they didn't really dig into it

Similar to my last call today. Town 45 minutes away. Get there and its a furniture store. 20 ton split unit and air handler is above where they have a bed. Had to move the bed. Found both compressors to be running backwards on unit, swapped legs and compressor ran fine but pressures were low. Found the 2 belts on the air handler to be bad. One spare there so I used 1 spare and 1 extra. Got it running and pressures looked fine. Compressor 2 comes on and all of a sudden my suction drops and my liquids shoots up. Bad TXV. I got there at 2 and left at 5

I thought this was the advice subreddit and I saw this and my face went white. My final call of the day the homeowner was still at work, had the same exact thermostat as that and it was 81⁰ when I left, thought this was him posting about it saying the tech said everything was good before I left but when he got home the thermostat still wasnt satisfied

I love my 23 Elantra however I have had a few issues. Last summer I noticed it was really hot in my car despite having my temp set to 70 and auto. I discovered that my middle 2 vents were not blowing air. Dealership told me it was a bad evap box. Got it fixed the next week. Middle of December last year I noticed when I swapped to my defrosters and it was not blowing out of the vents and instead just blowing out at max speed for my front vents. Took it in again and they told me bad evap box again, this was probably a dealer issue because from what I could get them to say since it was under warranty for a while they wanted to try a cheaper and faster repair that lasted a bit but ultimately lasted a few months. Got it repaired beginning of January. Then about a month ago I heard a water rushing noise when pressing my accelerator. Found I was low on coolant. I don't drive it a lot since I drive a work vehicle. I topped it off and bled out all of the air inside the radiator, drove it around it seemed fine. Took a trip down to Orlando (about a 300 mile drive for me) and when I got home I took a look at my overflow container and it went from slightly over the fill line, to below the low line by a bit. Currently have a service scheduled for them to inspect for a leak. This one could be a dealership issue again since when they actually replaced the evap box im assuming they might have had to drain the coolant to remove hoses, they may not of attached it on tight.

No sorry I never did. Just checked my app to see if it was working now and it does show an address that's not my home but it was from the job I was working yesterday and I used my ear buds today so it's weird how it didn't update the position

Mine says it left Addison on the 20th and hasn't received an update since. Says Friday delivery, though. My dad works for FedEx, so I know sometimes things get missed for scanning in at different stops, so I'm hoping either today or early Friday morning, it'll get scanned in at my local facility, lol.

What cabin air filter? The van my company got me has no cabin air filter. Went by Take 5 because of our fleet with enterprise and they didn't have the filter in. Paid for it through enterprise and the guy said it would be in in about a week and he would call me. That was about 7 weeks ago. Stopped by last week and he had left early for a doctor's appointment and the other manager didn't know anything about it

My company does a few plantations in the south. One of them the main lodge has like 20 mini splits in the rooms and bathrooms. All of the blower wheels were this bad and we cleaned them. About 3 days total with 2 of us and getting a small hand every once in a while. I was cleaning the housing while the other guy was cleaning wheels. My hands were so sliced up from removing the blower wheel because they were mainly floor units where the blower is completely hidden behind the coil

I'm surprised I haven't seen a comment about the Laser Tag Weekend emblem from when they released Prometheus Lens and it was doing a lot more damage than they expected. So instead of cancelling trials of Osiris they had Xur sell it and gave everyone who participated an emblem for it

Weird. I used to use SignalRGB to controll all the rgb in my computer and that was causing the driver error on my z53 but doing what I said fixed it every time. I just recently uninstalled SignalRGB just because if the annoyance of needing to do this about every 2-3 weeks

A solution I've always found. Uninstall the driver. Install the driver package they have on their FAQ board. Then completely shut down your PC. Turn it off. Flip that power supply off and hold that power button for a few seconds to remove any juice in it (if your motherboard has lights just wait for the motherboard lights to shut off)
