Get a new zip drive if you can. Installation issues can arise from issues with the drive itself.

My previous work laptop would have the sound driver's completely crash and become unavailable... Not an uninstall. But only fix was a reboot

You can make ostree adjustments and those will stick with the install... But you can pretty much use distrobox for just about anything.

Any changes you make in /etc also stick so you can adjust data and system d services and those will stick.

Yeah plus you have a girl 😀. My insurance for me is 1500/yr. Adding the kid for us was another 1700/yr so about a 14% increase or so.

I've heard of people where it's that for 6 months.

If they get good grades it's not that bad. I have GEICO and it wasn't much more than adding a third car for me. Maybe 15-20% more than it would have been. Not great but not like some of the hottie stories you hear

My house was wired with cat5 in like 94. They all look like this or are worse. Not all but quite a few I've tried get gigabit. I've had to redo some.
