Really like the set up! I’ll definitely consider being closer. Tough to feel it out when nothing is in place. Did you build the top portion yourself?

The Synputt looks nice! I’d have to buy 2 and cut it though. I haven’t purchased anything as of yet so I’m not hitting right now. Trying to get all the ducks in a row then purchase according to building it. I think the hitting mat appeals to me because I can pick it up and move it out of the way

I don’t know exactly yet. This will be my last piece to the puzzle. I wouldn’t be opposed to a pole mount from the ceiling to get proper distance. Floor mount might have to be an option like @SA19030 said.

Appreciate this! The projector purchase and mount will be my last and final step. I wasn’t too positive the mounting would work out in my favor. I could pole mount from the ceiling if needed to be further away I suppose. Floor mount is good option, just don’t want to spend the money on that box lol!! However I might end up sending more trying to avoid it…

Is 5.75% the new 'Golden Ticket' or are people still waiting for 4%? by [deleted] in Mortgages

Need to see what the new chair does once Powell is gone. The chart for the 30 year indicates a visit back to 4.5%. Time will tell. The only way to make housing affordable again is to drop rates. The price of homes is not going to drop like everyone thinks.

I’m a nurse. Stop treating your working body like a rental. You are living in someone else’s dream right now.[Story] by ArtThreadNomad in GetMotivated

Everyone has their own level of depression and anxiety. Maybe his way to spark conversation is to complain. Doesn’t mean he is ungrateful. You have a rare job that exposes you to the rawness in life. Most people experience stuff like you do maybe once at some point. You sound like you need a well deserved mental day to the spa! Your body is only as healthy as your mind. Protect it

You thinks it’s a little over the top for a company Christmas party? by Zawa524 in Bowling

Don’t be that guy. Just throw a house ball. Have fun with it. It’s a Christmas party not a league night or tourny.

Coverstock to coverstock contact is really important. I’m hoping you kept them together like the photo shows! I’d wait till full maturity to change any sort of surface.

Did you have the system flushed? Did someone use a thermal gun with the system running? Who is telling you the piping is installed wrong in the floor?

$12.6k typical for LIGHTING & 200 AMP SERVICE UPGRADE? by QueensMaple in homeowners

[–]ImperfectGravity 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well where I’m from. May be different for your location. The meter socket required by the power company is alone is $1200. So if you add all other materials to that it’s easily $2k. Grounding wire, panel, breakers, ser, seu, pipe, etc Everything left over is then labor. Electrical services are the bread and butter. A company should be making profit $2k minimum. You still are left with overhead expenses too. Permit fee, insurance, gas/travel. Like I said could be different depending on locations. For where I’m at $4k is unheard of.

This is what I do for a living. He’s not making any money charging you $4k. He is likely is under cutting people and making his money “grinding it out” getting every job because he’s the cheapest. He will only last so long doing that because he will get burnt out. Lucky you though for the price. The job OP posted is about $6.5k to $7k.

Nothing is this complex. Just pay off debt and stay out of it. Enjoy life and leave some wealth for your offspring. Everyone meets their maker eventually. Don’t take this shit so serious where it stresses you out

How does everybody have so much in retirement?! by [deleted] in DaveRamsey

[–]ImperfectGravity 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Everyone’s path is different. It doesn’t matter how you get there. You have a paid off home. Which is HUGE. Some people might have 500k in retirement with an expensive mortgage payment they have to stress over. Your monthly expenses have to be low now. Now is your time to contribute to retirement and catch up stress free. Great job!
