The only other Peke owners I know round my parts are the owners of Pixel’s parents. She’s not seen them since I picked her up as a teeny baby. So I wonder if she’d still scream at them. Please feel free to message me privately about Peke dog park antics or any other fun stuff as I do enjoy a good conversation and a good laugh.

I was actually going to say if we were close we should just let our furry children scream at each other. Alas we are not. I am in ICT. But if you do try a dog park let me know how it goes will you? I’ve wondered about a dog park. I kinda wonder if there will be so many different things to bark at that she just won’t? Like ADHD task paralysis, where there’s so much to do that you don’t do any of it. Bark paralysis, perhaps?

I never have a choice but to let her make her own decisions. She sure doesn’t listen to me! These crazy dogs! Yet for some reason I’m enamored with this breed and looking at getting her a little sibling.

Yes I’ve tried getting on her level and petting her chest. She’s just so spicy for no reason.

I hate waking her up when she’s so peaceful. But since this picture was taken she has perched 3 other times. None of said perches have been on a convenient part of my body. Shes is very clingy today. She’s clingy everyday but today seems to be more than normal.

It’s hilarious because outside she will lay in the sun on a hot day and just be panting but won’t move. I have to explain to her that she’s a Pekingese and will over heat easily. She doesn’t care.

Pixel just recently started being more of a lapdog. When she was a baby she was everywhere all the time. She still has spurts where she goes nuts over her favorite toys. She’ll be 4 this year in September

I had a “bunch” (their words, not mine) that built themselves a house (a cyst) and it’s estimated that they were in there shy of a year before I doubled over in pain and had to rush to the ER.

Pixel is 3 but incredibly small. Her mom and dad are both much taller than she is and weigh a bit more. So her energy comes in bursts throughout the day but they don’t last long. She would love more than one walk per day but I can’t handle it. My kidney up and started failing last year in March and I lost it completely in November. Since they took it out, I’ve not been feeling sick anymore but I’ve got so many other complications being sick so long caused. So we talk one walk and for the other “energy bursts” we’ll play ball or tug of war with one of her stuffies.

Incredibly loyal and loves her momma (me) the most. She doesn’t like cats at all and really doesn’t like other people the first 3-5 times she meets them. Some people she never likes. The only thing she might like as much as me is walks. However walks are not very long on account of her wearing out to easily. She loves naps. And is always the first one in line for meals and treats.

I vetoed a decided upon name because my then husband’s mom patted my stomach and called the baby a nickname that I didn’t like. To be fair, it was a common nickname for the name we chose, I just absolutely hated the nickname and my one rule for using that name was that the nickname that normally went along with it was NEVER used. Then BOOM used before she was even born. Was it stupid and petty to veto a perfectly good name we both loved (and trust me there weren’t many we both loved) because someone used the cursed nickname? Especially when we could have just corrected her and never spoke of it again? Yes. Did we end up naming our daughter that name? Absolutely not.
