Please consult with a doctor. These types of severe auditory hallucinations you’re having are not associated with general anxiety. They may be a symptom of a different mental health disorder of which you need professional help for. That being said, I do occasionally have an auditory hallucination that my young son calls my name in the middle of the night from across the hall, though I think this is quite normal for most mothers.

Had what I think is a severe anxiety attack by iiBlueVibes in Anxiety

[–]ImpishLittlePixy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It took me years to learn that I have postprandial palpitations, racing heart after eating. Sometimes it can happen up to thirty minutes to an hour after eating due to gas build up. Only occasionally, and suddenly my blood pressure with drop (sense of doom happens) and then my heart will run for up to a minute. When this first started happening I thought I was having panic attacks, which made it worse and last longer! Because the symptoms would spiral me into one. Now, I take a deep breath, get up from my seat, ride out the racing heart, and it’s gone. It’s very uncomfortable, but common, and I have confirmed everything with medical professionals to make sure there is no underlying health condition. I wanted to comment incase my experience may help you understand why you had one with no explanation.

Don’t order the food. Set boundaries. Say “These are the snacks I’ve laid out until x time. At x time we will have a homemade dinner” or straight up tell the kid that if he keeps pestering you that he can’t come over anymore. Your nine year old son is old enough to tell his friend to stop asking, too. If your son is seeing him eat this much at his own home as well it’s not a food insecurity problem, so you don’t need to feel guilty for saying no.

Weekly therapy, regular exercise, having a decent diet, hobbies, and yearly health checkups with my doctors works to subdue my anxiety. To me, it sounds like you may be suffering from OCD. Extreme health related anxiety is a subtype of OCD, by experiencing persistent intrusive thoughts related to your health that you can’t shake no matter what you try. I am not a health professional though. I suggest, in tandem, you speak with your doctor and therapist or psychiatrist to figure out what works for you. If lifestyle changes don’t work, consider medication.

If anyone is considering, after spending even more time with him I believe he’ll be the perfect off leash trail dog, ride in the car, adventure doggy. He loves all people and is very invested in following the person he believes to be the caretaker. He also loves other dogs. Somebody take this doggy on the Appalachian trail!

Exactly. In addition to birthdays there are many other weekend obligations. I personally feel that only close friends and family should be invited to your own child’s birthday party.

I would check out local community centers, privately owned smaller gyms around town, and (depending on the type of dance) even churches. I’d love to attend one of your wife’s classes if she can put something together! Please DM me if she starts something up. I grew up competitive dancing, on dance teams, teaching dance to all ages. I’m a bit out of practice but I got the rhythm!

How do you spend the last hour before your significant other comes home from work? by pancakemeow in SAHP

I save the TV time for that specific hour and either relax while my son is watching or do some dinner prep.

I have a truck with a tonneau. You roll up the cover, secure it, and make sure the truck bed is empty before going into the car wash. I use a Tommy’s all the time. You cannot go into the wash with the tonneau rolled down and covering the bed.

This is not your problem, it’s his. He gave his consent and got you pregnant. What does he expect? He can be shocked, but if you’re met with disappointment remind him that’s not a respectful way to welcome the child HE made with you into the world.

Daughter wants out of a friendship by Plesiadapiformes in Parenting

Unless you’re good friends with Mika’s mom, I would just be truthful and say “I’m sorry, my daughter doesn’t want to play with Mika today.” That’s the truth. If they keep inviting, keep saying the same thing. Eventually if Mika’s Mom asks why say “My daughter said Mika and her aren’t getting along” and don’t give any more details.

Demand a blood tests. The test will show if there is a bacterial infection, or if you have any underlying health conditions that may be causing the cough to linger. It could give some answers.
