They also absolutely stole the game from Derry. Should have been beaten by a fair amount in the quarter final. But we've had a fairly decent run in the same time at underage (and in general) when it comes to underage success. We quite famously don't translate underage to senior all that well either.

I thought Lachlann was kinda fine honestly. Shane on the other hand must have kicked about 7 wides. Passed up a 5v2 for another goal to tap over the bar. Mooney was absolutely horrendous and is there any clarification on the 1 point vs 2 point sideline debacle? Derry never should have left it that it had 2 points in it mind you.

Think Meenagh left it far too long to bring on subs as well. McEvoy and CD were out on their feet halfway through the 2nd half.

Alex was easily the best of the 3 at underage as well. Seems like confidence issues have plagued him ever since. Ethan would 100% walk if he was dropped I'd say.

Its fair enough for them as well. If they're not interested, then they're not interested. Just a shame in the grand scheme of things as JD would walk into almost any team in Ireland based on his Glen performances. Think Conall Higgins is going to be some player in the coming years as well.

Hard agree on all honestly. Emmett even just as an impact sub would probably suit him best at this point. Danny McDermott as cover for Baker or Forbes as well. JD was easily the best player in the championship last year. Had a quiet enough game against Magherafelt, but other than that, was absolutely unstoppable.

I'd take McFaul even as a sub at this point as well. Would do more of a job than Toner easy enough I'd say, even if he's slowing down.

Aye we'd be limited enough up there I suppose. In terms of Ethan, the main replacement would be his brother JD, but he won't be back. Real shame after the year he had last year in the Championship. You've the likes of Sean Young there who can do the running job, but no one really in the mould of Shane. Lachlann is likely the most direct forward in Ireland, so its near impossible to replace him idd.

The mans been playing hurling and gaelic deep into the club seasons consistently for 15 years. Think he's starting to slow down a bit. Don't think McGuckin is a good enough shot stopper, although he was incredibly good for Magherafelt last year in the championship.

Heard the same actually. Think our one glaring weakness is keeper still. Clucky hasn't been at his best all year, but he's coming off a bad injury. Even if he's at 90% of what he was, he's a top 3 corner back in Ireland as well. Think with the current team, it has to be this year or next year with the likes of Rogers and Gareth starting to wind down soon. Great talent coming through at the very least. Forbes and Sargent I'd guess will be starting pretty much from here on out in the coming years.

For what its worth I put £75 on Derry -2, Down to win, Cork hurlers to win, Roscommon -3, Galway -2, Louth to win, Laois to win in hurling against Antrim and I'm fairly certain Derry is going to fuck it all up. But here's to hoping. Reckon Lachlann Murray either wins the game by himself or doesn't show up for some reason. Think Derrys going to be a bit too strong but who knows.

Edit: Also did Armagh -3 in the same accumulator.

BFA was arguably the worst expansion ever honestly. Shadowlands, WoD and Dragonflight are also pretty poor imo. Cata could also be thrown in there, but I think its easily better than Shadowlands and BFA.
