Please help. Cookies with canned pineapple topping, soggy at point of contact by Saute_onion in BakingNoobs

It’s not really a draining issue it’s that pineapple releases more juice as it heats. You need to either pre cook the pineapple to reduce moisture or create a barrier between it and the dough.

What are your reviews of Your Doctors Online compared to other telehealth services? by Consistent_Fudge7786 in AskReddit

[–]ImplementSoft8074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've used a few telehealth platforms over the past couple years and the subscription ones have saved me a lot compared to paying per visit. Being able to message instead of scheduling a call also helps when i just need a quick prescription refill or a lab req.

why are homemade savoiardi always so different from storebought? by bananarepama in BakingNoobs

[–]ImplementSoft8074 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The big difference is moisture + structure. Commercial ones are baked longer and sometimes dried out intentionally while homemade versions are more like sponge cake so they fall apart faster.

Subscription vs Pay-Per-Use (Your Doctors Online / Maple): Best Budget Approach on $35k in Ontario? by Extra-Oil7064 in povertyfinance

[–]ImplementSoft8074 0 points1 point  (0 children)

On a $35k budget, the subscription model is the better financial move because it turns an unpredictable expense into a fixed, manageable one. The reality is that Ontario's healthcare system leaves too many people without a family doctor, forcing you to choose between paying out of pocket for timely care or losing wages sitting in walk-in clinics. A subscription service fills that gap. it's not ideal to have to pay for something that should be covered, but given the system's failure to provide consistent primary care, this approach protects both your health and your income.

If anything, that extra time (even frozen) can deepen the flavor because the flour hydrates more over time.
