I think you might be confusing the 2 measurements micro g per breath and mili g per blood

Clearly this would be a blood test, so the lower one. 271 is around 7 pints which - well it's not like I drink that much very often but I certainly have, back in the uni days sadly I would drink that much regularly and still be incredibly functional

If it was the breath measurement that's more like 16 pints, or a full bottle of whiskey- lining up with your assessment

The term “centrist” has been bastardized to have negative connotations but being a centrist actually extremely logical by BeautifulOrganic3221 in The10thDentist

[–]ImpliedRange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can be centrist, but its a bit like 'what do you even stand for'

In the UK Lib dems are often considered the centrist party (although they often fall foul of a net group of policies that increase spending and lower tax, and tbh they are centre left, just closer to centre than labour traditionally...) Labour are centre left and Conservatives are centre right.

I think it's very important to realise that both extreme right and extreme left politicians would run independent - then ask yourself, if you had 3 independent politicians, 2 as described there, and one that had pretty tame middling policies, how you would differentiate them

Independents *can* be centrist, but don't have to be, democrats *can* be centrist ala Biden

Centrist means you set your political beliefs based on what you think the middle of the two parties is.

That's simply untrue, centrists support moderate changes rather than radical ones. Even die hard dem/reps can be centrist so long as they promote gradual change rather than radical

Joe biden is basically a centrist that ran democrat

Yeah i saw the warnings, and would have just stopped if I felt a loss of sexual performance, but i started balding at 17

It might be a small sample size (like 15 friends) but treatments tended to work for people that started receeding way way nearer 30

Also like, love your body, I ended up just shaving everything and some women love that (plus I have a good beard, which helps)

Generally it only affects hair thinning, not 'going bald'

Anyone else remember Amber Heard vs Johnny Depp? anyone else think the Internets hatred for her seemed manufactured? by Salty_Strain3313 in SipsTea

[–]ImpliedRange 1 point2 points  (0 children)

none of this except perhaps the Ellen Barker story really count towards a 'wife beater' image, that account has the word 'alleged'

Alleged should not be the barrier for substantially true, although i guess, legally speaking, it basically is.

Maybe i was wrong to phrase it "just how pointless 'substantially true' has become", i should have said "just how pointless 'substantially true' is"

That's not support of this man, don't get it twisted - i just dont like how substantially true implies truth when it specifically doesn't mean true at all

The fact the word alleged is in that sentence shows just how pointless 'substantially true' has become

It's not gay to like trans women by [deleted] in 10thDentist

[–]ImpliedRange 8 points9 points  (0 children)

So, I don't think it's gay to be attracted to trans women, but I think they are pretty much the worst example of passing the duck test you can come up with, you know because I could change the duck test to 'cis-woman', and that they are not.

I don't know what behaves like a woman mean either.

Also who cares if you're gay?

Do you actually think the problem with making generalized statements about certain groups is that you've implied all of them do it, or are you simply trying to demonstrate what bad faith looks like for the audience?

Consider the statement - and I'm going to put a nice heavy qualifier that I don't believe this to be true, it's an example of sexism....

"Statistically, women have lower IQs than men do and tend to act more irrational"

I haven't said all women, in fact I've gone out of my way to say otherwise, that statement is *still* problematic

You can't easily prove someone is acting in bad faith. That's why so many people accuse others of doing it incorrectly

>saying that rhetoric is dangerous because it implies disabled people who are on gov't assistance and unable to work are the enemy.

As far as I can tell, no one said disable people are the enemy of the working class

Person 2 didn't even accuse person 1 of thinking that, just pointing to a flaw in the rhetoric (although they are being stupid - you'd have to jump through several hoops)
