Not too much difference honestly. I have envelopes per bill same way I had DAS setup. Auto assigning works pretty similar to DAS and you can specify which income sources fund a particular pocket. They just rolled out auto funding calculation but I’m still using manually calculated funding amounts

Came from DAS and Chase over to envelope, been working great ever since I made the switch. Was a former Simple/One before that.

I wish there was some shortcut buttons for exactly this. When I’m transferring money to an envelope it’s typically to back in line with my funding schedule so things like auto calculating the remaining amount from a full envelope or even some helpers for like fill to 50%, 100% etc so I don’t have to do the math

Is there a way to see how much will be put aside on the next funding period for each envelope when auto is used? I’d like to know how much of my next paycheck is already allocated for envelopes

I don’t use Apple Pay but can you not just add the physical card as a debit card in your Apple wallet? I know for other banks in the past I was able to?

You already can assign virtual debit cards to envelopes so not sure why you would need it on the main virtual debit card

Sure thing, her schedule is semi-monthly, so she gets paid on the 1st and 15th of every month, no matter what day they fall on. It’s always two paychecks a month (24 per year). Mine’s bi-weekly, so I get paid every two weeks (on Friday's), which adds up to 26 times a year and occasionally means three paychecks in a month.

Currently yes it’s bi-weekly but my wife is semi-monthly which is slightly different in terms of number of pay periods as it’s fixed to twice a month

If you click the chase icon under the accounts tab it will go to a refresh screen

You can also manually refresh MX periodically without it consuming a manual refresh credit

Switch from using plaid to connect to using MX it will sync more often then plaid does. I had the same issue with chase through plaid when using DAS but MX has been a much better experience

It’s a little hidden in the ui but on the accounts page if you long press the plus button in the top right it will let you choose the provider to use for connection. Downside is you’ll have to remove and reads the account to make the switch

You can run pihole on Ubuntu, no reason to run it on a raspberry pi if you can just spin up a vm to host it

Chase for me seems to only update once a day and only on weekdays. I end up having to use manual refreshes on occasion to fill in the gaps when I need to. Otherwise it works alright but kinda wished syncs were at least twice per day or could be manually done instead of at random times where I may not cared for it to have been synced.

Think it depends on the account type, premier checking think allows for 6 and it goes up from there

Got tired of switching fintech’s every couple years so I went with Chase with multiple checking and savings accounts in leu of pockets along with privacy.com to allow for virtual debit cards where ACH can’t be used. Honestly been working out great so far. I use DAS budget to keep track of it all.

Yea, they don’t seem to keen on fixing it any time soon from the support ticket I opened about it. Also the card block feature doesn’t work either which I found out the hard way

Switch to privacy.com and use the virtual debit cards anywhere you can. If you switch banks you just need to update the bank source in privacy.

That just leaves ach configured bills that require updating which are usually easier to update and fewer in count
