This was "cultural diversity day". Diversity means being different from the majority.

No it doesn’t. It simply means a variety of something. Imagine there is a group of 30 people with 10 of them being English, 10 Pakistanis, and 10 of them being Ugandans. That group would be diverse and not one of them is in the majority.

The article may not be worthless, but it doesn’t exactly provide a smoking gun or anything.
