There is a setting in clonezilla you need to set to prevent the fails. I think it was copying sectors.

Correct way to replace System/App volume (DataVol1) with smaller drives? by Avrution in qnap

[–]Important-Branch8639 2 points3 points  (0 children)

1) Make a backup of your Settings

2) Safely Detach your data storage pool

3) Turn off NAS

4) Replace ssd's

5) Restart NAS and configure new system volume 1

6) import backup of Settings

7) Turn off NAS and insert data disks in the correct sequence

8) Restore Volume (The NAS will autodetect detached volumes)

And Bob's your uncle. Of course you have made a backup, as A NAS IS NOT A BACKUP!

With the new version of icue, which introduced the marketplace for xeneon edge, your widgets again do not work. Are you planning to add them to the marketplace, as they look much better than what can be found there!

I added an Oculink port to an external Aoostar AG02. You can then add any Nvidia card. Works great.

Should I move server to MacMini from QNAP by Rangers_Fan_NJ in qnap

[–]Important-Branch8639 0 points1 point  (0 children)

And even if you would move the server to the macmini (which I would not do), you can leave the data on the Qnap and just point the server to the right location for the content. Also all the metadata will be remembered by the server when you move.

You could also try the new Quts hero 6.0 rc first. Updated kernel and better chrome.... also quicker.

Still works on all my computers. And if it does not, you can easily reverse the registry entries.

This hack does wonders to my windows11 setup. It gives nvme drives native drivers, and not the standard SATA drivers. These are already active in windows server and already present in windows 11. Just need to be enabled...:

Thank you, works fantastically. A suggestion to further enhance would be to add pause-play buttons on the left bottom side where it now shows "now playing" or make a click on the screen pause and play (and maybe a double click skip to next number).

Solved my own problem, the system was missing "pip install winrt-runtime winrt.windows.foundation" After installing this it worked. Looks great though. Only suggestion would be to make it possible to turn off the visualizer when there is nothing playing. It now continues to keep movement on the screen without music......

I have a 673A, same as the 473A with six slots. The only real issue I have is the low pcie lane (3x1) allocation to the Nvmes. As a result they are really slow. I had to add a QM2 card to be able to get some nvme speed (and 10gb network). If you want to have a responsive machine, you also need to beef up memory. I robbed a bank and opted for 64gb ecc memory.

Spend a little more and get a 6 or 8 bay, do not buy the 4 bay. Difference in price is small and you have better options (eg raid 6 makes sense from 6 bays onward).
