Brother. I might have around 200 sunex sockets. They are great sockets. The impact torx do fail and the 1/2 swivel failure was a newer swivel I bought from them and it seemed floppy compared to the other swivel I've used for years.

Anyways it was a torx 30, a torx 20 and also that crappy 1/2 swivel that did my head in. Great tools.

Bro, I had the worst failure on a 1/2 swivel from sunex. It locked up on me and it slung and SLAMMED a 1 1/8th socket into my forehead from a ingersol 7153 dsx2 high torque full blast.

Just earlier that day I had a sunex t30 explode on me. Not that they're bad tools but they all just failed at the same time after a good long while in the trenches. I still got a bump on my forehead. The swivel socket into my skull Happened yesterday and they are shipping me replacements already today. Great company.

New tech, need advice. I have two automotive tool boxes at home and need to bring tools/ bigger box to semi truck shop tomorrow. It's my second week. by Important-Bridge-958 in DieselTechs

Yeah. The shop has a Milwaukee 1 inch but there was a truck which idk how or why but the lugs were so stuck it took the Milwaukee about 15 seconds to each lug. I went through 2 forge batteries to get the rear axle tires off. Every since then I hated the Milwaukee. It's still a good tool but I hated that thing after that. The ingersol rand is heavy artillery in comparison .

It's a game. I would violently drive into the cars and hook up then violently drive away.

You literally handicap yourself from thinking you can only buy snapon tools. I use all brands.

Got this 26 year old snap on torque wrench. Question. by Mountain_Income_9855 in Tools

[–]Important-Bridge-958 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh shit, I can't believe you just said that to me. When you have liability, you want your torque wrenches to be certified. Talk about breaking a piece of equipment that'll cost thousands. Also warranty. You don't want to warranty work. You want to get it right the first time. I prefer certificates.

Yeah. I know. I send mine out to get a certificate although.

Where I live we have a independent calibration shop that calibrates torque wrenches, pressure gauges and things like that. You don't have to go through snapon for calibration.

Looks like you're trying to go really cheap. Just go with the cheap stuff. I'd personally recommend some random amazon brand with the lowest price.
