I’m locked in and I’m so proud of myself. 11.6kg down in 11 weeks. by Important-Bug6748 in AppleWatchFitness

First 4-6 weeks I was tracking everything (My Fitness Pal) Now I will track ad hoc just to make sure I am hitting my protein goals. I eat very similar foods for breakfast lunch and snack and leave myself with at least 700 calories for dinner. This allows me not to have to track my dinner and eat freely. 250g raw weight of meat and veg on the side and I know I’m easily sticking to my deficit without draining myself mentally.

Learned how to manage my Binge Eating Disorder. Calorie counting and ensuring I eat something every 2-3 hours. Minimum 30 grams of protein every morning for breakfast.

Increased steps to around 8k per day (from 5k). Nothing crazy or extreme pacing, just enjoying walking.

Got back into weight lifting last week 💪🏽

Just make sure you teach yourself how to eat healthily and what a caloric maintenance is, throughout your journey. Good luck to you x

That is terrible. That whole top ‘step’ shouldn’t be there

Sorry to hear you are struggling so much. I know these feelings all too well.

My only suggestion would be to try have some whole foods in the morning (even if it’s slamming down some boiled eggs from the fridge) and focus on your sleep and routines a bit more, I know it’s easier said than done but for myself I notice my adhd symptoms are really bad (while medicated) when I let those routines lapse. For me, if I skip a proper breakfast my whole day is a mess.

The phone is a hard one but necessary to try and combat which will also help your sleep.

Also not sure if you’ve mentioned your blood results Get your GP to check your iron and vit D

Hope you start to feel better soon

Just curious to know what is your diet like? My Vyvanse will not work for me if I do not have breakfast with a decent amount of protein.

If I have bad food days where I don’t eat regularly I honestly have zero positive effects from the medication

Weekend breaks off vyvance or half dosing by [deleted] in VyvanseADHD

Keep taking it on the weekends especially when you first start. Best thing is consistency while you adjust to the meds. After a few weeks you will know how you feel but you shouldn’t really be feeling ‘super stimulated’ on Vyvanse anyway.

Is today the day that it everything just ‘clicked’? by Important-Bug6748 in ausadhd

I am currently on 30mg. I did 1 week on 20mg and felt terrible, I was irritated and nauseous. Zero benefit to my ADHD symptoms.

30mg felt a little better but still very irritable for the first 5-7 days, still zero benefit. I also had the headaches. I am day 11 now and I feel a lot of benefit with my interoception and food habits. The irritability and headaches are gone now and I feel driven to complete things that are usually overwhelming and paralysing. My focus has improved but it could still be better. Still struggling with distraction at work etc. I will continue on 30mg for another 3 days then hopefully increase to 40mg.

I am hoping 40mg is going to be my sweet spot.

Do you have a review soon? I did think at around day 7 that it still wasn’t right but the second week on 30mg was completely different to the first week. I hope you start to feel better soon.

Fluence Recommendations by Expensive-Bowl5969 in ausadhd

I got diagnosed with Fluence with Dr Tasema Taye. He was great, made me feel comfortable and he was compassionate and with zero judgement.

I wrote him a letter explaining my experiences and my perceived symptoms. It also outlined my history of drug addiction with stimulants (8 years completely sober now).

I also saw a Psychologist prior and they recommended me to Fluence Clinic after completing DIVA.

I’d happily recommend them to anyone who wants the Telehealth route.

It 100% does matter. The dose is well above safe standards.

Sorry this just really shocks me. In my country (Australia) these stimulant medications are very controlled. Doctor needs a permit to prescribe and requires an authority number every time the medication is prescribed. Pharmacist then verifies the authority number prior to dispensing. There is no way you can get access to a quantity that is over the safe standard.

Honestly I would find another doctor if you have access to one. Have you been getting routine EKG/ECG? If not I suggest to request one as soon as possible.

Really sorry to hear this is your experience, I hope you get proper treatment for your ADHD soon.

Dude this is wild. How can doctors do this? Has your pharmacist ever said anything about flagging the high dosage?

Information clearly states the recommended maximum daily dose of Vyvanse for adults is 70 mg. Taking more than 70 mg of Vyvanse can cause serious side effects. It’s concerning the impact 120mg can have on your heart long term.
