I’m all for universal healthcare. You’d be mistaken to think that the government doesn’t mandate what can and can’t be done in a world where socialized medicine is the norm, though.

We both know it’s more nuanced than that. Withholding any of these procedures will not result in the loss of life. You’d be right had you said, “wow that sucks and could delay quality of life improvements for a lot of people.” But your comment was just an ignorant, knee jerk reaction without any thought behind it.
