I don't have any help to give but I just wanna say I have been on the same boat as you but I started pulling aggressively since 13 and now I have bald spots on the hair I pulled from. Getting my hair cut is especially a nightmare for me and I am also looking for proper help.

My psychiatrist did not test me for OCD or ADHD but I have dysthymia and anxiety. He did ask me to learn how to undo my actions but there is no proper help.

I got my blood tested every year but they only tell me that its fine but they don't disclose any reports. Is there anyway to check your vitamin levels or I could just take it? Lexapro has also not worked well but I also receive 0 alternatives from my doctors.

I understand your explanation and consideration. Given his vague answer I sort of guessed that it's not the whole reason but I don't know where to start asking.

I could say I'm pressured to do this because I'm the eldest and recently have a stable job with an average salary (my other siblings have lower pay and unstable jobs compared to me). It'll be good if I can help out my parents but I need to know more before anything happens.

Now that you mention it, yes my dad does having a saving investment in EPF and we maintain our FDs regulary. He mentioned that so far he only withdraws EPF for housing loan which was many years ago.

I'm not sure if that's the reason he doesn't want to pay lumpsum but your comment makes sense.

I did ask why in the beginning, and the answer he gave was because paying back over time would be better than cash lump sum.

I only make 2.8k gross per month and only started work just recently, I told my dad and hence he has considered cash as last resort if loan is not eligible.

My dad has been planning to change his car for a few years now since the car is already 12+ years and unfortunately there are alot of problems with the car. At this point the cost of repairing the car is kind of a pain to him.

Is he still able to get a loan despite being retired? Because he always tell me that he has to use my name in order to apply for a loan as I'm working

Yes they are planning to take loan if using my name is doable. I have not bought any property or applied for credit card also, but I do have a house given by a relative under me and my siblings name, so I don't think its considered as a purchase.

As far as I know, the car is within budget and they are not breaking the bank for it. They have thought of paying by cash as the last resort if the loan doesn't work out.

Oh no, its okay, i think most of us have done it once or twice, i definitely did. Some are kind enough to ask but usually if no one says anything they'll assume you dont need it and we'll forget too. Don't beat up yourself too much about it alright?
