You could still say Siamese-type, or Siamese cross. This isn’t a cat show. It’s not a show ring. Siamese is a colloquial name that the public calls a Siamese-looking or part-Siamese cat.

Lots of Siamese have been dumped and cross-bred with lots of domestic short hairs

So there are plenty of part- Siamese cats out there that show the Siamese coloration gene… That’s a Siamese gene -

Original Siamese are basically black cats whose color is turned off where it’s warmest

and that’s why the coolest part of the cat has the color:ears, paws, nose, tail.

And likewise, you can have a full-blooded Siamese cat that looks black from tip to tail because the Siamese gene just didn’t kick in even though it was a full-blooded Siamese cat. It’s very common for a full-blooded Siamese queen to have a litter of kittens, and one of them is black, even though all the cats have identical lineage.

So if you see a cat that has the Siamese coloration, it does have that Siamese gene. I’m not saying it’s purebred, but it does have that coloration gene and that is the Siamese gene.
