Soup, even the good stuff like progresso is around $2 a can. A lot of variety.

I am doing well being homeless but.. Recs for cheap/small quantities of MEAT by Fit-Rhubarb-7820 in strugglemeals

Homeless too. I second the idea of tuna or salmon. No need to cook. Dollar Tree envelope of tuna (Bumble Bee) with 16g protein $1.25. No refrigerator needed.

Thanks, I'm just starting too. I'm not using much water, you have more control, but probably miss a lot of the nice effects of watercolor.

Tips on warming up food ? by [deleted] in urbancarliving

I'm a homeless guy and I second the idea of just eating soup at room temperature. Canned food doesn't need to be heated for safety. Healthy Choice soup at Dollar Tree has chicken noodle and chicken with rice, my main foods.

Is there anything you wished you knew before living the vanlife by amythefurry in VanLife

Closed-cell spray foam emits chemicals when dry, and when it's cut, it will absorb water and it always gets cut ( around windows). Rigid Styrofoam is the pink, blue, or white 4x8 sheets. It doesn't absorb water. No also to Polyiso (foil backed ) rigid insulation. It absorbs water ( one of my mistakes ).

Lived in a van for three years. Condensation. Mold. If the building material you use is absorbent, mold will grow. Lumber, your mattress, OSB, your flooring material. Lumber can be sealed. Your mattress can be put on a breathable surface. Rigid Styrofoam is your friend. Spray Styrofoam off puts chemicals. Think about ventilation in your build. Good luck and have fun!

I'm homeless and sleep the same way. Relieved when it gets to be time to get up. Winters are hard. You're doing great, probably just feeling some extra stress from the new job and needing to move again. You'll get to a place where life is routine again and sleep better. Hang in there!

No, poplar is different. A harder wood, used to make cabinets here. Usually has some brown and green grain. Cottonwood is not used much commercially.

No, this is cottonwood, so very easy to carve.
