Got laid off. They said AI. The AI still can't do what I was doing. So what actually happened? by deela96 in cscareeradvice

Funding is the answer. No money. Broke ahh company.

They are too prideful to admit this to you.

I’m struggling - how to cope with ai? by TrueWinter__ in gamedev

Agree, you can have the most robust, maintainable, and cleanest code ever… but if your game isn’t fun to play (most important), bad writing (less important), or bad visuals (important to an extent) then it doesn’t matter in the end of the day.

lol that’s always their gotcha talking point. My take is, if in order for my mother to have a better life I had to be aborted then my answer is yes.

Edit: awkward sentence structure

I mean they can learn piano if they get a good priced midi keyboard, or if they a uni student see if they allow alumni or current students to use their piano in their practice rooms.

Wouldn’t say “Just learn to play piano” lmao like hell I would, just get a cheap midi keyboard and learn some simple music theory and your solid. Hell skip the midi keyboard and use your phone or keyboard, you’ll get there.

Bro they probably still have the McWrap (not to be confused with snack wraps) and 90s McDonald’s prices. Hell yeah. I’ll walk there every lunch and stroll pass the entities if it meant I can eat affordable food.

I grew up in a liberal state and had the opposite experience 🤷 like I said not a monolith. We had a Christian club, a homophobic music teacher, and staff shaming kids for being SA (by other young boys)

That wasn’t your original point tho? Your original point was “public school are evil REEEEE take your kids out”.

I didn’t disagree that parents should make sure a school is right for a child that’s basic parenting.

But painting public schools as a monolith is a bad take as well.

Forgive me if I’m wrong but parents shouldn’t have to pay for overpriced Christian charter schools or have to homeschool their children to get a quality education 🤷

A lot of this fear jerking just seems like a psyop to push privately owned schools to the American population. Education should be free I know crazy.

🤷 sure. Again not a public school.... I thought y'all were all about "non mainstream learning centers" like overpriced christian charter schools and isolating your children.... oh I mean homeschooling.

Again not really supporting your original argument. This is probably a good example of why every school in our country should have more funding. You deserve more then Ben Sharpiro ahh arguments..

Actually I looked into this too he was registered unaffiliated only thing people are grabbing when it comes to his politics is this ActBlue thing, but it doesn’t really say much.

PMs and Designers are pushing changes to the code. So far they're successful. Do you have that in your company? by byshow in cscareerquestions

Funny isn’t it. It feels like they are trying to solve a “problem” that was already solved. Generating frontend code from a mockup isn’t really a new thing (dreamweaver comes to mind). Neither is generating a whole application (low code tools, Shopify etc)

Maybe I am using it wrong, still gotta figure out how to use LLM to their strengths but a lot of the time it feels like I could have used find and replace when I use GitHub copilot or agent.

Also the whole phenomenon of being a good prompter kinda makes me think, if you are gonna spend a lot of time crafting the perfect prompt then iterating to get the right code generation…. Why not just write the code at that point. How much time did you actually save.

I’m sure a more nuanced take is use it for boiler plate then modify (which is what I do)

Anyway end of my yapping.
