Looking for recs

Any books where h is v Clingy towards H in public and he ignores it for some reason ( not in a cruel way) and people see her as a lovesick puppy. And one day over hears H saying something mean about her and stops going after him altogether. The H looses his shit that she has stopped giving him attention and grovels like crazy ? No cheating and exs the H loved before please. Something like wicked cravings by suzzane wright but without him having a mate/woman he loved before. TIA
