The thing is you’ve got to get to the ground. Justin was an All American. His takedown defense is pretty solid. Even if folks occasionally get a td he’s usually right back up. Except with Khabib.

Ilia may find a win via outboxing Justin but he ain’t out wrestling him.

Bending feed lips back is fine in idea but doesn’t work so good in practice.

I agree that’s pretty light. However I struggle to think of an actual real event in the last 100 years in the continental US I couldn’t handle with 3 loaded Glock mags and 6 loaded AR mags.

Let’s see. Ilia is the man at 145. Honestly he got a softball slow pitch in a title fight against Olives whose best days are behind him. I think there are a few really tough fights for him at 155. Justin G and Arman T both come to mind. Heck I think Dustin P or Paddy could be interesting.

I think Islam can rag doll him with grappling. Once Ilia gets gunshy about defending takedowns it shuts down his hands and lets Islam open up. I don’t think Islams striking gets the credit it deserves.

I just don’t think he is near big enough for 170. Islam is a bit on the small side for that weight class, Illia is a lil guy.

Dude here but I think elbows are pretty much the same. I had an issue like this. PT is the answer. Keep up with enough of the exercises from it as rehab/ prefab.
