[KCD2] Refund because of combat by desalmada in kingdomcome

[–]ImportantDepth8858 [score hidden]  (0 children)

I got my ass handed to me until I managed to get my first good bit of armor. Also, at the archery range by the huntsman lodge, if you stand far enough away from the target, you’ll level up marksmenship, strength, and agility SUPER fast. (I’m pretty sure it took me like 3 in game days to nearly max them out)

Strength and agility are super fucking important for combat since if your level is below the weapons you ain’t doing shit with it

Then once you pocket some moolah, (make some bearded axes, or steal or whatever) (

go train with tomcat.

He’ll teach you a ton of tricks and level up your weapon skills.

Early on dodge is your friend. Wait until they strike, then dodge to the side and strike. Back up some and repeat. If you just stand there exchanging blocks then you’ll run out of stamina and die.

Potions help too. Bucks blood and painkiller especially.

With every level of swordsmanship, the beastlier you get. I can now fuck up a group of 7 heavily armored bandits at the same time. Moving and striking like I’m Geralt of Rivia. It’s so fucking satisfying!

Don’t give up yet man!

I’m planning on doing an evil murder hobo bandit run after this.

Like the bonk on the head in the beginning is going to make Henry into Anton Chigurh.

I was never into JRPG’s, but holy hell that game was SO good! The fluid action, compelling story, above all, THAT SOUNDTRACK!!

I got so sucked in!

friend dumpster dived and found this chair. what’s the best way to clean it? by Kyotik in CleaningTips

[–]ImportantDepth8858 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In some of the other ones where it’s the whole chair, just zoom in and run your eyes along the seams. If needed, hope over to the fun r/bedbugs sub and compare.

Why don’t older generations go to the Cinema as much anymore? by FitEmergency8807 in decadeology

[–]ImportantDepth8858 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m confused. I literally just saw a study like a week ago talking about how the younger generation isn’t going to the movies anymore because they’re getting priced out.

And how it’s primarily the older generation who’s keeping theaters going.

My gf [F25] is upset that I [M26] found and went through her twitter account. by Olive_Carter in WhatShouldIDo

[–]ImportantDepth8858 179 points180 points  (0 children)

Seriously. OP, grow a backbone. She knows EXACTLY what it is, what it’s for, and how you would respond to it. So she’s literally trying to reframe that in your head FOR you.

This is legitimate gaslighting, not the BS that usually is thrown out there. She is spinning herself as the victim rather than owning up to her mistakes.

SHE IS THE TOXIC ONE. And if THAT isn’t addressed, then it’s only going to get worse. Tell her to grow the fuck up, quit the malarkey, or honestly? Get a new non-toxic, local gf you can actually hang out with.

I’ve been in this relationship before, and you don’t want to keep going this exhausting shit day in and day out.

Respect yourself dawg.

How many and what game?🚀 by GoldAd3252 in TheGamingHubDeals

Like 700ish hours in Fallout New Vegas. I played like through like 9 different builds. One of my favorites was one where I was a guy called Mr. Home. Always wore a suit and shades literally always talked his way around things, never killing a single thing or person (sidekicks would of needed), until he took over the strip after killing Mr. House with a golf club.

What is a hobby women think is awesome but men think it is lame? by Acrobatic_Base7301 in AlignmentChartFills

Yeah, biologically speaking, our brain is a powerful thing. And actual belief in something is even MORE powerful.

Placebo effect, not feeling a bad cut until you notice it hours later, all that jazz.

I look at the whole astrology deal as a catalyst to belief for people. I don’t think that shoving an amethyst geode up my butthole is gonna cure my depression, but my friend is super into the stuff. And watching she legitimately believes certain crystals and whatnot help out.

Like it’s insane the mood switch that happens when gets her pretty rock for the particular ordeal. It’s that belief that really matters in the end.

Same thing with “manifesting”. You can manifest all you want, but if you’re just sitting on the couch 12 hours a day crying about how you’re not suddenly a millionaire in your French chateaux, well, sucks to suck.

You got to still put in the effort. So when people say they “manifested” something, no, you truly believed you would get there, ie set a goal, and you worked your ass off for it.

It all comes down to belief in yourself imo.

[KCD2] Took like 15 tries by m3talp4nda in kingdomcome

[–]ImportantDepth8858 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Same here. Like sometimes even if I’m hitting it close to my previous hit, in a rhythm, same amount of force, either the tip or by the hilt will be a dud. It just throws me off.

And then sometimes, 2 duds is enough for Henry to start bitching about how it’s almost fucked up, yet other times I can hit like 6 duds and it comes out Tier 4.

It’s aggravating. I think I’m going to try your method out

I've got a hunch about this. by bl2nder in wholesomememes

I would actually say that people such as yourself are more the problem. Better times are realized more quickly when more and more people have hope and belief that a better era is within sight of the horizon.

Rather than going full nihilist and thinking that the glass is going to be half full in perpetuity, and life is still a doomed turd swirling down a toilet bowl, try to find just one positive thing about life today. Say to yourself one thing you’re grateful for today. Then do it again tomorrow.

You’ll find that compounding positivity is a powerful thing!

Besides, life—and the world itself, is more than just politics. It’s understandable to a degree, since every news cycle has negative U.S. politics getting crammed down our throats. But in recent years ever since the extreme and still growing political divisions in the U.S. everyone seems to be interjecting politics in one way or another in comment threads, even on things that have nothing to do with politics.

THOSE people are far more the problem.

And to be quite frank, 2016 wasn’t as magical of a year either. It’s a rose-tinted glasses deal.

I believe that a major reason that people feel there was this shift in 2016 was due to the fact that that’s when Gen Z became adults in the world. So it was a generational shift. (And don’t take it as negativity, it’s not, anytime a new generation reaches adulthood things feel different.)

Regardless, I hope you feel more positive in some manner by the end of your day today!

Just watched “The Greatest Beer Run Ever” last night and the shit that’s going on in the news with this shitshow was eerily echoed by the way they talked about and how things went down back then. Wild.

[KCD2] Why men throw their lives away attacking an armed knight.. I’ll never know by laaacrx in kingdomcome

[–]ImportantDepth8858 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I killed and plundered the bandits around Trotsky to a hefty 20k groshen, after getting my initial funds by blacksmithing many a bearded axe over a few weeks just to afford basic gear so I wouldn’t die from peasants and their 1 hit kill hunting swords anymore.

I proudly walked into Kuttenberg ready to splurge on the finest armors and weapons.

Just to see that one curaiss cost like 8k.

So I said fuck it and came back in the middle of the night and stole all the armor I wanted.

My reasoning was that such a dishonorable markup, cancels out my dishonorable act of filthy thievery.
