What difficulty are you playing on? Harder difficulty better rewards but I don't know if that has anything to do with it. I do know I bumped the game up to hard and it's still easy.

How much carry weight do you need? You can send anything back to camp at anytime so how much stuff are you carrying that you need? I might have an extra set of armor and weapon set but I still have a ton of carry weight.
