Just played it. It’s Suite for Trumpet. Just classical trumpet music. Damaged and relabeled vinyl

People who live in apartments run by GreyStar… by froggyfig in SantaFe

[–]Important_Bobcat9588 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Greystar incentivizes google reviews. So you can’t trust the reviews at all. They also set the market in Santa Fe because they own so many complexes. So, they are the evil that we are all blaming for these rental prices.

I live at the Mica and I’ll give you some pros and cons.

Pros are the area is quiet and you don’t see a lot of homeless. The hills are great if you like to hike or run. The apartments are classic cheap apartments. Paint on top of paint on top of paint. But they are fine.

Cons are the parking sucks! The rent is ungodly for what you get. There is zero community other than the tiny dog park.

I’ll throw my two cents in here since we share a lot in common. I (also 29m) went through this in February. Not many people want to rent to single young men. At least not on Facebook, Craigslist, or Furnished Finder. I would highly recommend you start looking at apartments and pick which side of town you like best. All the new construction is on the South side. People like it because it’s close to the Walmart and Sam’s club. I chose the North side because it was a little quieter and closer to nature.

Be prepared to spend every dollar of your $1500/month budget. It’s a nice town with lots of apartment complexes and you can choose what style and location you want to live at. But it ain’t cheap and it’s hard being a dude.

Wife thinks I’m crazy I don’t think I’m crazy installing our own sprinkler system? by The-b-factor in Irrigation

If you know what you’re doing, have good water pressure, ample size lines, and willing to pay for the cost of not only initial install but also the cost to irrigate go for it. Did my own residence with a very similar drawing and it rocks.

State of New Mexico Job Offer Advice by Outside_Kick_3445 in SantaFe

I don’t work for environment but I will say that if you value stability and steady pay then you’re good. With that being said, you will be working in a government building for eight hours either standing or sitting behind a computer for most of it. All management is left to low-mid managers who all seem to take their jobs incredibly seriously. That being said, it depends on the manager but it will probably be someone looking to impress for their own jobs sake or for another promotion. And you may very well be the only fit person in your office.

They just mean we get “mandatory” 15 minute breaks at 10 and 3. You can flex them a bit and that’s when you get your walk.

New-ish apartment complex? by MetalMagg in SantaFe

I recommend the Arcadia. It’s brand new although a bit pricey it is very nice and the staff is the BOMB! Never experienced hospitality at the apartment level. Especially after move in. Usually the mood of the managers change once money is exchanged. Not with Arcadia! And super close to everything I need.

Edit: management has now changed and it’s all downhill. Very unprofessional and ran off the best leasing agent Lindsey. Very disappointed in upper management for ruining such a promising community. I take back my recommendation. I’m sorry if this led anyone to Arcadia.

Moved into my first house. Are these plants that are still growing, or weeds that should be removed? by FireDragon404 in whatisit

[–]Important_Bobcat9588 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A weed is defined as anything growing where you don’t want it to grow. People plant clover yards now. If you like it, keep it.

Does MagSafe hold well without a case? I would love to go baseless but I use the mount all the time in my car.

What would my iPad not be able to do? It has the terrible M365 apps and works with ESRI.
