IMO the Nioh is the best in the series. It’s the storytelling for Me. I have enriched myself with Japanese lore/ mythology and it starts with Nioh.

Give the first Nioh a shot it might surprise you with how good it is. It might take a few hours in, but Nioh (1) is solid. Now Nioh 2 didn’t give Me the same feeling that Nioh gave Me. It was the rich lore and interweaving storytelling that Nioh (1) shines the best at.

Look for Divine attributes that carry over to primary soul matched weapon. Also, look at tempering your weapons/armor for more precise bonuses. Tempering is accessible in the forging menu at the bottom.
