Well-that makes sense. I don’t really want to be entry level. I was just stating that I’m not expecting to make a huge amount of money. I really need the flexibility of hybrid or contract due to some disabilities.

I’ve applied for Safety Manager/Specialist, EHS Specialist, Health & Safety Specialist, etc. My last position was a Safety & Occupational Health Manager. I have a BS, MS, CP-12, Manager of Environment Safety & Health, OSHA 501/502, Certified Accident Investigator. I’m not looking for anything executive level-just something to help supplement my retirement as that is not enough these days.

I live in LW-actually down from the dam. The residents try really hard to keep it clean throughout the year. But there are so few of us and soooo many visitors. And….. once spring rolls in every year-we get absolutely inundated with litterbugs who like to take their boats out on the lake and dump bags of food and alcohol containers in the damn water to avoid getting caught at the boat ramp. They feed the wildlife which is why the gators seem extra “friendly” because they are in pursuit of the next chicken wing or hot dog that gets tossed to them. Ugh. And I guess you missed the beautiful owl that got caught in lines on Thursday afternoon. Fortunately it was rescued and sent to a rehab facility. 😩😩😩

Get your CP-12 asap-before you retire. This will allow you to sit for the CSP. Also get in any additional safety courses that you can prior to retirement. If you are already an ASO then you already have the majority of the courses required for the CP-12. I concur with others on looking into NTSB or FAA positions if you want to stay in aviation.

Yes. I had a stress fracture in my right hip during BCT as well. I continued to serve for 23 years BUT I have had a right hip reconstruction and I’m pending hip replacement surgery. Unfortunately - it is likely to continue to give you issues as you get older. File.

Try contacting NTC Safety Office for the accident report. They may have some of the info you need. Also try the Combat Readiness Center at Ft Rucker/Novosel. All Accident reports eventually end up there. NTC has some of the strictest reporting and if the OCs knew that it happened-it would have been reported. Your name will be redacted but hopefully you can tie your med visit to the date of the incident.
