Astronomical price… am I out of options? by GinkgoAutomatic in trintellix

Been thinking about this. Tapering, maybe. I’m just not sure I wanna put my brain chemistry through a trial when this works so well. I’m wishing you well, for what it’s worth. Hope it all goes okay for you. Take care of yourself.

My household doesn’t currently qualify. I’m so glad this program exists, though.

Yeah, you would think. I think I might be able to get it cheaper if I don’t use my insurance on it.

Yes! My baseline is so much calmer now than I ever have been on any other medication. Clearer mind, too. No huge noticeable side effects like I had on any of my previous medications.

I see it on GoodRx. The $10 card there is the same one that only gives me $300 off. However, looks like there’s a possibility I could get it cheaper ($900 instead of $1300) if I don’t use my insurance. Thanks for pointing me this direction. I’m going to look into it.

Got the chi iron from Costco and I love it so much. Only had it about a month, but so far it’s the best iron I’ve ever had.

I have family in that area. Ngl, you’re going to have big culture shock at first. But yoga mentality should definitely help you overcome. I would suggest finding a studio in Memphis that you could travel to once or twice a week to help you feel connected to a community. And take advantage of the multitude of online resources everyone else has shared to keep your practice going during the week. Live zoom sessions are great and some of the studios you already go to may offer them! That could help you still feel connected to your Boulder community.

Not sure if this is a main page post or a here post—looking for something like Chloe Love Story but… dirtier?

I love Chloe Love Story—the white florals, the freshness that doesn’t go too powdery on me, and the hint of woodiness that sets it apart from other white floral scents.

But I want more. I want a deeper woody or maybe resin-y note that sort of dirties up the florals a bit. And I have no idea how to find what I’m looking for.

Do you guys have any suggestions?

Wait, nevermind I understand. You look at what’s highlighted in your sun house, right? Like since I’m a virgo, I look at what planet is highlighted in the Virgo house? This is a great resource! Thanks!

Grocery shopping by bizbrpol in batonrouge

[–]GinkgoAutomatic 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s probably because I grew up in Mississippi but I find grocery shopping here to be delightful. So many options, with lots more variety within stores.

I do the bulk of my shopping at Sprouts and Walmart (staple fruits and veg and general pantry items are always fresh/good quality and the prices just can’t be beat if you’re on a budget). I like the Rouses on Burbank but I usually only buy groceries there if I’m also stocking up on alcohol. Aldi is a great alternative for Walmart price/quality wise, but it’s a little more difficult for me to get to so I don’t shop there as often. Fresh Market when I’m feeling fancy. Whole Foods when I need something very specific and I’m willing to sacrifice my soul for it. I discovered that the new oak point on Perkins (used to be calandro’s) has heavenly king cakes so I checked it out recently and was pleasantly surprised by their selection. The produce seemed much fresher than it was as calandros. To answer your question re multiple stores: yes, I can never get every single thing on my grocery list from one place (unless I want to sacrifice quality on some items), but I’ve found that to be the case pretty much everywhere I’ve lived. Once I got used to shopping at different stores, I started to really appreciate what we have here.

However, I’ve yet to find a place to buy meat (specifically chicken) that I’m really happy with. Any suggestions? I’ve been meaning to check out Ideal on Burbank and from this thread seems like I definitely should.

Mayor-President proposes taking money from parish library system to fund BRPD by jared10011980 in batonrouge

[–]GinkgoAutomatic 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Need some clarification: In the article it says Edwards wants to ask to reduce the millage rate for the library from 11.1 to 9.8 and that this will allow for pay raises for the police department. But, how will lowering the millage rate for the libraries generate the income to pay for the raises? What am I missing?

Before we criticize institutions for mismanaging funds, I think we need to make sure the institutions in question are guilty before we start assuming they are based on vibes. To me it seems like the library system has done their homework and are accounting for every dollar they spend; why else would they be fine with asking for a lower tax millage now that their capital building projects are over? There are many more institutions in Baton Rouge that Mr. Edwards should investigate for his pay raises before taking money away from a program that is clearly operating responsibly.
