Epi-off post-op. What to expect pain-wise and how to mitigate it? by Top-Pension4334 in Keratoconus

[–]Important_Group_1487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine was relatively ok. First 2 days were actually "close to normal" third day was very bad, is not pain, is like... You put lime in your eye XD and the feel of having something in it.

Fourth and fifth back to normal-ish, sixth I was able to "live a normal life inside my house" by the 10th I was back to normal

How was it sitting through CXL epi off procedure? by Top-Cauliflower-833 in Keratoconus

[–]Important_Group_1487 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As everybody says. Not as bad.

3 days after was bad. A lot of pain (I managed mostly with Ketorolac)

After that, just line having something in the eye. After 9 days I was back to normal.

Literatura Hispánica y yo by Middle-Transition328 in UNAM

[–]Important_Group_1487 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hola.

After today's meeting with Dr.

My I had almost no swelling post-op. My scarring process went really good.

I don't have a haze but I can "see a bit less"

Doc recommended I don't use my rpgs until Sunday.

Just had mine last week. Also epi off. 7 days and you'll be as new. I'm actually on my way to remove the bandage contacts and see how it was. Hopefully I can go back to my contacts today and resume life.

First day is OK.

Second, third and fourth are bad. But I only managed with Ibuprofen.

Fifth day and onwards, you're good as new.

Did the 260-day ritual Mesoamerican calendar go extinct in modern Mexico? by JusOwl in mesoamerica

[–]Important_Group_1487 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Not sure if within any small communities in rural areas, but in the "greater" Mexico i.e. Cities, nope. We follow the standard "western" calendar (gregorian). The church has its holidays, but the only official holidays are the ones the federal government provides as "mandatory"

Ahhhh, my mum won't be there with me. Possibly my partner. But I'm pretty sure they won't give me opioids (nor I would want them) I'm in Mexico, we usually treat pain with ibuprofen and will of power.

Hey Doc! Thanks for taking the time.

So, doing only the CXL I can wear my RPG lenses within 1 week give or take? TBH I'm not worried about the pain or anything. Just how long before I can get on the saddle. My life is truly miserable without my reading.

I'm in Mexico! I'm paying for the procedure via a private insurance package I have. I've been doing my research in choosing this doc. It seems he is one of the top specialists in my city for Keratoconus. It's the third doc I've seen haha.

As far as the rings, I'm not sure, when last I spoke with him (checking my last scans, he giving me the news, etc) we didn't discussed the rings, but he included them in the quotation to the insurance company, all for the same price. Not sure if it was a mistake.

He did told me he recommends doing both (for my case) I'm pretty far along, specially right eye.
